I've watched a LOT of DIY videos and still have zero idea what you just did or were trying to do. :( Hopefully better camera work soon? Trying to do this myself soon, and would love to learn from your work.
I had built a bench over each wheel well. Then mounted a 3/4" piece of plywood onto each bench with hinges. Under each slab, I mounted a set of folding legs (like conference tables use). When these boards drop down, they form a queen-size bed base with support legs underneath. When I made that cut in the center, it was to remove the overage of board material and make the boards meet properly in the middle. For some unknown reason, that part of the video is cut off, so you don't get to watch the actual cutting. I will have to see if I can retrieve the original video and fix that.
