somebody wrote on facebook that there seems to be a problem with the AF markers not turning green with this firmware in video mode "Serious error in new firmware 2.3 of the g9ii, in video mode the camera does not indicate the focus point with the green squares when we select multi-area area nor in selectable central area without object to be detected, this information is still available in photo mode." Can you confirm?
Oh dear. The last firmware release for the S9 was so buggy they had to roll it back. Their QC and beta testing process doesn't quite seem to be up to the standard it was in the past. To be fair they are putting entirely new features into the cameras though, so there is a lot of risk with the cameras already being in the hands of consumers. I'm sure a .1 patch will be along soon enough.
The lack of hybrid zoom for MFT is really disappointing! It does work wonderfully on my S5ii, though; you even can see the composite focal length as you zoom.
@@sky.london Yeah it's a shame that the Real Time LUT feature never made it on to the GH6 but as this was the 'Unifying' firmware update, you can only assume that ship has sailed unfortunately 🫤
It's possible some updates may still be on the way. Its always the flagship cameras first and then things may trickle down to some other cameras. From what I have seen the firmware updates are a bit of a mess so it may not be a back thing right now.

Yeah, that is a bit of a shame, but who knows it could be coming further down the line. That's really nice that it does that when zooming.
Iwont use it for ps5 Do you advise me to update it firmware
I don't quite follow, are you worried about upgrading and losing the Wired LAN streaming feature?

@@sky.london I know, it's well and truly been left out in the cold 😞

Yeah they crapped on us GH6 owners early. Pity as it’s really capable.
