Back in 1980 some changes happened at Thomas Road, This was the first broadcast of OTGH with the updated stage design but still had the old 70s pulpit (later getting a new one which lasted until 2006) and also I notice the choir robes had changed colors from gold/yellow to blue along w/the carpet which was red.
Who were the architects of the Southern Baptist takeover in the late 70s/early 80s? I know Jerry Falwell.. And Paige Patterson… Wasn’t there one more? That was at the infamous meeting where they hatched the whole thing on a napkin? In New Orleans… a I think the guy went on to be a judge. And then he was going to be an advisor for Bush 1. What is that guys name? I think he had a law school named after him… And Mike Johnson was supposed to be the dean of the law school. Jeez… why can’t I think of that guys name or what he was famous for… Can anyone help me out?
