Wheel speed sensors send data to the ABS system, which uses it to determine if the vehicle is sliding, or skidding. A sensor that is not working correctly will usually trigger an ABS dash light. This video shows you how to install a new ABS wheel speed sensor on your 2001-06 Toyota Camry.

With a P0500 code, how do you determine which wheel has the bad sensor ? Service manual states 1.6 Kohm resistance, is that on the actual sensor or the harness going to the ecm ?

Do I need to progam anything after the install? My abs and brake light come on and my mph/rpms dont read so I'm hoping this will be the cause. When the abs and brake light are on in the dash there is no communication with the obdII port.
