- Very nice unit! I also made medium grain rice off camera using the same method and it turned out great as well. Many of the recipes that are in the manual are quite good, as well. See links below...

I guess you did not wash this out first. I would have cleaned it out with soap and water.
Yes he washed it.
...did you add any seasoning, or salt to the water? I like my rice with a little salt seasoning, or black pepper, or with some parsley or other greens. ✌🏼
Appreciate the video. The first time i used my rice cooker I didn't rinse my rice and used 1 cup of long grain rice and water to the 1 line. My unit overflowed all over the outside of the unit. I did it again and rinsed the rice before cooking and it was fine. I wonder if my unit is defective since yours didn't overflow when not rinsing the rice. Have you ever had any overflow issues? I called Cuisinart and they said in addition to rinsing the rice you should add 1 tablespoon of oil and 1 teaspoon of kosher salt.
Got a one in good will for 12 dollar brand new happy with the price
hi! same - I just found one at good will yesterday. so happy
FYI leaving the rise for 24 hours in the fridge makes for perfect nicely spread rice! If it's still mushy/sticky it means you used too much water.
Thank youuuu soooo much!! I didn’t feel like reading the whole book of instructions 😆🤣👍🏾
Well done. Just ordered the 8-cup one. I've always had a rice cooker. Had to give away mine when I moved from Australia to Minnesota. I like how one doesn't have to watch it. Just set it, go away and come back hungry ha ha! Thanks!
YOU SAVED MY LIFE - I was literally wondering the exact same thing like why has everyone made a video but not cooked the rice? You are The Man sir 🙏 👏
Thank you so much for making this video! I had that machine for ages and just messed up when I tried it. Now I understand the indictions on the inside container. Thank you again. Shall follow the progress.
I'm glad to help...lol
@@wmiller5693 This was very informative!
Great review, wish we could of seen the steamer in action O.O
thank you sir, out of the few videos yours showed actually cooking rice, i'm a novice and you made it look so easy I just bought one tonight.
Can you please do an update video of your chicken coop.
man...there is really nothing to update, the chickens are just out there doing their thing...lol
Great review! I love the recipe videos you posted using this unit as well.
Thank you...welcome to my channel!
I cant believe how many videos out there that DIDNT show how to cook the rice ??
Looks very good. No clumping..
yup...have not gone back to stove top method since...lol
I just started my first pot of rice, and I was concerned the loose lid -- it looks like yours was the same way. I guess it works okay?
Correct...the lid is made that way to allow the proper evaporation.
thank you for the review! it helped me a lot
When you are cooking rice in rice cooker we used hot water!!thank u
you didn't wash your rice.....
Quisiera que la pagina introduzca de manera automática u opcional el subtitulado en español...
I really appreciate this video. I bought this exact model rice cooker, and was pretty sure I had a handle on its use, but you cleared up any doubts I had. Straightforward, simply presented, and comprehensive enough to instill confidence. Now I'm actually looking forward to using this for my stir-fry tonight! Thanks!
Absolutely Wonderful.
Thanks for the video-I misplaced the instruction book.
oh dang...lol. It has some really good recipes in it as well! I already posted a few, but stay tuned, there's a few more im going to share. Thanks for stopping in and checking out the channel!
www.manualsdir.com/manuals/66828/cuisinart-crc-800.html the link for the manual 😊
This link is for the 800 model. I watched this as well since I have the 400 model with no manual. :(
I'm considering pyrchasing this rice steamer. I like Quinoa (a grain) and some rice like Jasmin, brown rice, etc wonder if Quinoa would do well, too.
Mine doesn't have the white markings. I assume the "engraved" ones are at the same height?
you didn’t rinse your rice first?
Not on the first batch, just followed the instructions. I did rinse the jasmine rice. Both turned out fine.😉
w miller - awesome!! thank you!!
Do you need to wash Mexican rice from the box?
Nice work. I came to look see how the Cuisinart worked because I found an 8-cup on sale at the ReStore for $29 and wanted to know how it worked compared to my twenty two dollar Walmart rice cooker thing with several buttons and digital display. It appears that these work by weighing the mixture as the heat turns the heavy water into a vapor that escapes into one' kitchen at which point, the temperature drops to 'warming' and the rice is done. Not sure all that sitting and waiting is necessary - though rinsing the rice (right in the cooking pot thing for me) is a good idea IMHO. I put the rice in the pot thing and repeatedly cover the rice with ware, swish it about, pour off the excess and repeat until the liquid I pour off is running clear or very close to it. Then I fill to the mark, push the button for White Rice and have a cup of coffee while watching the news. Oh, no! Trumps tweeting again! He demonstrates that anyone can become president better than any other president since Ronald.
You should always wash the rice except if you are making a risotto. Also there is no optimal ratio for water. You need to manually find the perfect one for each rise type and each cooker. The starch easily burns I've noticed.
Can you make brown rice with this cooker?
Yes. Great with brown rice.

Wtf someone help! I have this rice cooker but it just burns it ..
