Is Dirt 4 WORTH buying Today?

Dirt 4 was fairly decisive on launch, with gaming media praising it whilst players mostly preferred dirt rally, but it is worth playing now in 2021?

It was def worth buying when it was avaible, it was the last dirt title to ever feature rally in a an arcade setting. Nowadays you're stuck with ultra hardcore dirt rally 2.0 or ultra casual no rally mode Dirt 5. Hell, Dirt 4 was the perfect in-between because you could choose between gamer or realism setting.
Too bad people can't buy this game anymore.
The game was divisive at launch but nowadays sits with mostly positive on steam while dirt 5 has mixed reviews.

Dirt 5 just kinda feels like a worse version of Dirt Showdown (and I say this as one of the rare few people that actually liked dirt showdown)

Didn't really talk about the Teams, and the gripes about the drift can actually be amended in the options

Its the only (good) game made after 2010 with short course trucks. Just wish I could take them to stages. The other games with them is Dirt 5 and Gravel. Which are both arcade games.

Dirt Rally is the same price 4.99 as Dirt 4. So, buy Dirty Rally instead.

I think I prefer dirt 4 as I prefer Arcade over simulation racing games, but they are basically the same game (for some reason) so there's not much reason to own both imo

I prefer Dirt 4 than a rally 2.0. The reason? Dirt 4 have all the cars in all categories. If you want 306 maxi, Ibiza kit car, Ford Focus, Fiesta 2001 and more cars like this in rally 2.0 then…you have to PAY more.

Deluxe edition on Dirt Rally 2 comes with discount so cheap, is not even that bad (all content for 11 euros on Steam right now)

yes, there's a good tutorial mode that will get you up to speed with the driving mechanism
