Performed and filmed at Pink Martini's World Headquarters in Portland, Oregon, in September 2020, while the band was unable to tour due to the pandemic. "Una notte a Napoli" featuring lead singer China Forbes, is one of the band's most popular original songs, first heard on the album "Hang on Little Tomato." The song was written by bandleader Thomas Lauderdale, China Forbes, and their friends Johnny Dynell and Alba Clemente, in Italian, and has also been released, in a Spanish cover version by Santana, on their album "Corazón" (as "Una Noche en Nápoles").This version features Thomas Lauderdale on piano, China Forbes on vocals, Nicholas Crosa on violin, and Gavin Bondy on trumpet.

I was trying to explain to a coworker how music gives me hope for our species. I used music on my Sony walkman headphones in (1989) to lure some hunters away from myself and the person I was "escorting west". My gift to them was a mix tape, the player, and their lives. They were basically 14 or 15 years olds. Tossed into a mess that they did know.
They were also the best high altitude hunters I had ever met. I went slow enough they could follow but not catch due to the terian. Three of them followed me all the way "west". One kept the gear and stayed on the other side. I was allowed to eat with the three and an interpreter. They did not have families. He did.
