Coincidentally, a couple days ago I listened out of idle curiosity (once and once only) to an AI generated chillstep track...
Yeah - All the individual elements were there. Like, you could "tell it was chillstep"... HOWEVER - The thing I noticed is: There's no heart behind it. No feelings or journey or visuals brought to mind...
Just random sounds.
Chillstep can be special because if the right artist is making it - even without lyrics - it can take you on a visual or emotional journey. To me, it's more like classical music in that way.
I don't know if that makes sense.
