I feel like this could have been such a better movie if the satire was turned up more and everyone was on Emma Watson's level. Like imagine Rachel Sennott in this movie
Sofia made this film to early, the legal stuff and trials were literally still going on when she made this. It was also too early in the 2010’s for her to try and capture the era and essence of when the events to place. That’s something she always does well in her other films. I can only think of how iconic this would’ve been if it had been made later with different eyes. And I have to mention how upsetting it is that the very serious drug addiction that Alexis had was completely erased from the story. There was so much more that happened, the true story is more complex and interesting than the film.
I read that Kirsten Dunst's cameo wasn't planned or scripted. She just visited the set to say hello to director Sofia Coppola, and they decided to film a scene with her.
I definitely feel if they waited and created this film out today, gave the characters heart and depth this film would have been so well received, Gen Z would have loved it so much, we missed out on a lot due to the fact this was made when the case was still so young and being developed, but I'm so glad this movie exists because I love it and it's so fun to rewatch All vibes, no plot 😂 I love that
@@quietreaderno because gen z would not get the film canceled because it's based on a real story. Gen z loves True Crime as well as characters that are written off of real people. Some of the most popular shows this year were shows that were written about real people and True Crime shows / movies. Who's mostly watching that? gen z. They would have loved this movie because it's extremely flashy and it glamorizes the expensive lifestyle while kind of has you looking forward to seeing the characters get caught, but also kind of has you secretly rooting for them. Literally what have they would have canceled it for anyway? Writing a movie based off of a true story that's public to anyone? Ur whole comment makes no sense💀
Happy 10th Anniversary, Bling Ring. Also, it's refreshing to see teenagers who actually look like teens. With the exception of Emma Watson, all of the protagonists were played by actual teens.
To continue the a24 series I think you should do a video of watching the company’s best and worst rated movie and also a video of watching the company’s first ever move and it’s latest movie
Watching this and also watching the only season of Alexis’s reality show of “Pretty Wild” to see the arrest + trial live is an excellent hole to dive in
Ok I love the bling ring, idc if it's kinda bad. Sofia Coppola is so good at composition and aesthetics and I was soooo obsessed w this case as a kid too. & the soundtrack is IMMACULATE. I saw the trailer in theaters when my friends and I snuck into Spring Breakers at 13 y/o and i was immediately obsessed 😭 Anyway, not sure if it's A24 or not,, but Marie Antoinette by Sofia is probably one of my favorites of all time, would love to see you review it if you haven't already 🤩
Disney has it's roots in the anti-labor strikes movement. He used the Red Scare to blacklist filmmakers that were protesting and testified in front of the HUAC.
I liked this video and shared on my story as soon as you spoke about backing up with writers strike, I respect you so much. I need to do more research and it just made this even more enjoyable to watch - such a throwback watching this film too!
I feel like Emma Watson's acting was bringing a level of satire the others weren't. It should have been much more satirical especially during most of the robbing.
literally has nothing to do with the movie but, trin you look soooooo good this video with the ponytail and little mini jacket sleeves. im bi for a reason and it is this video
I randomly found this movie in middle school n absolutely LOVED it but never rewatched it n for the past decade its just been one of those pieces of media that i look back on as something i really enjoyed but have no real desire to revisit (i will say tho that videos on the case like the mila tequila one have made me want to look more into the case)
I have a theory that I only like Sofia Coppola movies that star Kirsten Dunst and this movie helps hold up the theory with that brief Dunst cameo. Also, The Bling Ring deserved better and I am glad you've given justice to its name.
I think the no plot thing is a big criticism people have with all of Sofia Coppola's movies. It's the same with Lost In Translation people either seem to love it or they're bored to tears
Please do Young Royals! I would love to see more of the bigger commentary/review youtubers watch it since it's such a great YA show and will gwt their final season soon😍
trin! have you watched the lifetime movie version 'the bling ring'? i'd love it if you could watch it and compare them to each other! (obvi when u can not now) i know its a lifetime movie but i think both movies have different stuff going on, i watched it ages ago so i can't say but i think both movies have stuff thats enjoyable abt 'the bling ring' topic!
This is a movie with horrible continuity, poorly edited, not much going on, but still, I love this movie and it's one of those movies that you turn your brain off and watch.😂
Next movie you should watch is red white and royal blue I'd like know your thoughts because Id love that movie The bling ring was and still is my favorite :)

Review spring breakers

Omg I would kill to see Rachel in this movie
LIIITTTERRRAAALLLYYYYYYY 😭😭😭😭
it's literally Rachel's favorite movie so yes
@@st4bexpertomg brilliant

“I wanna rob” is built into the zeitgeist of 2010’s. Even as a 15 year old watching that movie, I knew that line was ICONIC
I feel like the sound that goes “I’m so happy someone made a f’ing video about this” LIKE- THIS IS MY MOVIEEEEE!!!
its camp, its girly, its funny, its cringe, its everything. No one understands my appreciation for this movie I was OBSESSED.
I read that Kirsten Dunst's cameo wasn't planned or scripted. She just visited the set to say hello to director Sofia Coppola, and they decided to film a scene with her.
Slay

icba to read all of this but Gen-Z complains about everything, this is a well known fact (I am also gen-z but one of the good ones)@@cyberzombiez
i’ve never seen anyone more loyal to a sponsorship than trin is to raycon
they should’ve included the “Nancy Jo, this is Alexis Neyers” moment. Emma & Leslie would’ve killed that.
Happy 10th Anniversary, Bling Ring. Also, it's refreshing to see teenagers who actually look like teens. With the exception of Emma Watson, all of the protagonists were played by actual teens.
This story was told on the big screen too early. Gen Z woulda LOVED this
and we do ❤
It's in my top four on Letterboxd tbh
i love the bling ring but it can’t compare to the actual iconic “nancy jo this is alexis neiers” voice mail as seen on pretty wild
As someone who loved Paris Hilton and the o.c and the hills…this movie holds a special place in my heart and I think Emma Watson NAILED it.
The O.C is such a good show
love this idea - on top of supporting the strikes, A24 has incredible movies & they DESERVE their time in the spotlight !!
i cant lie every video im taken aback by how gorgeous trin is
To continue the a24 series I think you should do a video of watching the company’s best and worst rated movie and also a video of watching the company’s first ever move and it’s latest movie
Trin in her consistency eraaa we LOVE IT
this might be the one movie i’d love a remake of 😭 all vibes no plot is something that will stay w me trin lmfaoo that’s so funny
We need another ICONIC movie review :
Black Swan Duh
I liked the bling ring just bc the cast was so likable - the characters were 🤷🏻♀️ but the cast? Stellar.
Idk if you’ve already done it but I actually liked “bodies, bodies, bodies”
Yes. Bodies Bodies Bodies is such top tier work and did not get enough love.
She did ❤
that shot of emma watson with her tongue out at the club was used in so many harry potter memes
18:15 although you make a fabulous point, you completely by-passing the entire Harry Potter franchise is absolutely halarious xx
trin asking for more arc but when you watch the documentary there actually is no arc mark has not developed at all
LMAOOOOOO
omg bestieeee
Watching this and also watching the only season of Alexis’s reality show of “Pretty Wild” to see the arrest + trial live is an excellent hole to dive in
Girl I agree!!! This movie is in my top 10 along with Spring Breakers and Zola which are also A24 movies
my fave a24's that i don't believe you have done yet:
ex machina
swiss army man!
first revormed
aftersun
beau is afraid
medusa delux
Some stellar A24 films I’d love to see you react to is Swiss army man and the Florida project, two of my absolute favourite movies ever
I watched the bling ring for a celebrity culture class my freshman year. it was so much fun to discuss it after lol
Ok I love the bling ring, idc if it's kinda bad. Sofia Coppola is so good at composition and aesthetics and I was soooo obsessed w this case as a kid too. & the soundtrack is IMMACULATE. I will forever LOVE this movie and Sofia even tho they changed/removed hella stuff from the actual case😭 still ICONIC and KUNT
i agree, i think more movies should be rated based on how fun/energy it was, not how technically impressive it was
one thing you very much can't defend is emma watson's american accent. it physically hurts 😀
There is a new swedish Netflix show with the same premise called "Barracuda Queens" that thakes place in the 90ies. Kinda liked it😊
Yes but ending was like meh would’ve been interesting to see what happened if they were caught
Yeah I quote “Let’s go to Paris’, I wanna rob.” Everyday… and what about it?
Disney has it's roots in the anti-labor strikes movement. He used the Red Scare to blacklist filmmakers that were protesting and testified in front of the HUAC.
Yes! We love seeing content creators support workers!!!
OMG trin... you are keeping as fed and warm with those constant uploads!!!! love u the most
Very much looking forward to you watching past lives, I saw it twice in theaters and it's my number one movie of the year
I liked this video and shared on my story as soon as you spoke about backing up with writers strike, I respect you so much. I need to do more research and it just made this even more enjoyable to watch - such a throwback watching this film too!
I would love to see you talk about Eighth Grade!
Yes! I’m 32 and have loved this movie for yeaaaars! I’m glad you’re showing it some love too!

This movie IS my guilty pleasure rewatch, Emma W dance scene was just a bonus😂
literally JUST watched this the other week so this is perf timing! always love ur videos trin
This outfit slays as always
I feel like Emma Watson's acting was bringing a level of satire the others weren't. It should have been much more satirical especially during most of the robbing.
it’s crazy how i had such an obsession with this movie when i was 11/12……it’s def probably one of my fav movies unironically
literally has nothing to do with the movie but, trin you look soooooo good this video with the ponytail and little mini jacket sleeves. im bi for a reason and it is this video
i wish emma had stuck to roles like this she ate
Stop cause her reasoning for starting this series is so sweet and sounds like it could actually help out a lot!!!
Love everything about this new A24 series❤ what aboutba Green Room reaction?
not everyone gets it but trin does
i’m crying 7:25 she really gets the camp of this movie
I'm sorry but all I can do is stare at your hair every video 😭Whatever you do to take care of it is *working* I'm obsessed
ahh trin uploaded. making sweet popcorns and getting comfy on my sofa. and just relax..

This movie was the first A24 movie I ever bought

I have a theory that I only like Sofia Coppola movies that star Kirsten Dunst and this movie helps hold up the theory with that brief Dunst cameo. Also, The Bling Ring deserved better and I am glad you've given justice to its name.
IVE BEEN WAITING FOR U TO WATCH THIS
I think the no plot thing is a big criticism people have with all of Sofia Coppola's movies. It's the same with Lost In Translation people either seem to love it or they're bored to tears
The oversized sunglasses still have a chokehold on me!
My recommendation for an A24 film is In Fabric, it's so good!
bro I literally got a lil drunk and decided to watch this movie yesterday! what timing
Please do Young Royals! I would love to see more of the bigger commentary/review youtubers watch it since it's such a great YA show and will gwt their final season soon😍
