Now you can have your cake and eat it too!
Just a suggestion. Build a second, smaller, two tiered cake stand to sit on top of this one. Now you have a dual use cake stand and cupcake stand. The second tier only needs to hold four cupcakes and the top only one, like a tree. Sometimes, using cupcakes instead of cake for a birthday party isn't a bad idea, especially for adults.

I would like to see these skills taught to both boys & girls in all Brititish schools..I' d like to see practical construction skills and the very basics like teaching kids how to change a plug etc taught from an early age ...just basic skills for life we all should know ,I studied engineering at uni in the 80' s and the sexism towards snake students pretty awful ..saved me a lot of money over the years being able to construct things myself :) Your cake stand turned out beautiful btw x
