I got inspired for no particular reason by the image at the end of the video. "michael invites you to the afterlife ??" So I wrote this. [---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------] "It's not fair!" Lily shouted in anger. She was angry at life, at the unfairness of it all, but most of all, she was angry at herself for letting this happen. Michael lay motionless in the hospital bed. He was diagnosed with cancer and the doctors gave him four months to live. That was four months ago. Lily broke into tears. She was in disbelief at all of this happening. The four months had felt so long and so short at the same time. She knew the day approached, but she tried to stay positive no matter what. Everyday felt so slow as they approached it, but it still didn't feel like enough time with him. "I- I'm sorry for shouting Michael but-… Please…" "Please what?" She thought. "Please don't leave me? It's not like you can control death." "But- But what if there's still hope." A small, yet stubborn part of her mind replied. She knew it would happen, and even as it was happening right in front of her eyes, she still couldn't accept it. She started crying again, when she felt something touch her hand. It was Michael's hand. He held her tight. "Lily…" He said, turning his head ever so slightly to face her. "Let go…" She felt Michael's grip loosen, but she still held his hand tight. "Remember that song you wrote?" Michael asked weakly. "Last Cup of Coffee?" Lily replied. Michael nodded weakly. "Today is that day…" Tears streamed down her face, but in an effort to stay happy, she started singing. *Sings Last Cup of Coffee* Michael smiled and then joined in. … *Last Cup of Coffee Finishes* Slowly, Lily let go of Michael's hand. "There you go…" Michael said happily. Lily would never be able to get used to Michael not being there, nor would she ever forget him. But now, she had to let go. Lily embraced Michael one last time before leaving the room, broken. For once, Michael had nothing to say… One day, they would meet again. For now, Lily was going to make the most of her life, that's what Michael would've wanted for her after all.
