Amazing video! Question on the vacuum pump lines. How would the truck respond if you just take the pully from the air pump and run a shorter belt. Then leaving all the lines alone after? No caps on any lines or disconnecting anything. Will this hurt the engine or cause any problems? Thanks again! Cheers
Hey man I have the same truck and they also did the smog delete before I bought it. What's the reason behind taking that off? Is it not better to keep it on or is it really that useless? Thank you
I have the same truck once its warm it will die if I drive on highway it won't die but when i get off highway it will die i have to let it cool off for a while then it will restart but once warm it dies again I can't find any help anywhere wish I could figure this out
@@Lahotboy2024 Check vapor lock first. To confirm vapor lock, when the engine dies, Look into the center of the carb and pump the accerator pump, to see if there are fuel been shooting to the carb. Which can confirm weither there is fuel in the bowl or not. Second, check for spark, get a cheap spark tester from harbor freight tools, when it dies, connect it to the ignitio coil, to confirm u have a spark. Normally, for a Ford in this era, u can locate a white metal box mount on the wheel fender which have 6 wire coming out of it. Its called ignition module, this thing is normally known to fail. If u dont see a spark, bought a ignition module from autozone for 20, its plug-n-play, if not vapor lock, then this will be a fix.
