I am a military retiree on TriCare Prime and I am approaching age 65 in a couple years. I've heard of "TriCare for Life", is that the same as MidiCare? Do you have any guidance for people like me?
Yes, except for part A. If you sign up for Medicare Advantage, or original Medicare with or without Medigap, you will need to pay the part B premium which is about $170 or more a month
If your employer has a high deductible health care plan, and contributes into you HSA to help off set those deductibles, is there a LAW preventing the employee from dropping company coverage completely, stopping the HSA contributions, enrolling in Medicare and...the company pay the employee the equivalent costs that are no longer go to the private insurance company ? "I'll get off your plan, just give me the money I'm not costing you anymore"
thanks! will be 65 in November. working for school sys. and will continue at least to next November. I pay my job ins. do I need to sign up for this or anything else? do I need to notify Medicare I'm still working so I don't get charged?

Turning 65 in December. I'm covered by my wife's insurance. Does it hurt to sign up for Medicare? Not take the ones you have to pay for.
