Are you able to get the dash to recognize the supplemental ballast?

It certainly won't automatically recognize it. There is a way to calibrate it but I need to be able to fill them all the way to try. I will include my attempt in a video here soon.

Curious - is this needed if you already have the supplemental ballist installed on the Natique?

If you have the supplemental ballast option you should already have bags in these locations and 2 separate pumps. Altogether you should have 5 ballast areas you can control from the dash.

is this for bigger surf wave? They pretty good from factory.

Yes, Nautique added this as a feature in 2022 but the space been there since the introduction of the paragon in 2020. Nautique does a great job of producing great wakes and waves while maintaining tons of above deck storage and space in general. The factory option includes 2 extra bags and 2 extra controllable pumps so you can maintain the levels on 5 different ballast bags and really dial in your preference.
