Just for perspective: Khalil Shakir is a 6ft and 190 pounds human being. While not huge, outside of a football field, he would not be considered a little guy. Its just that Dawson Knox, like other tight ends in the league, is at least 6'4" and a beast.

I've lived in WNY for fifty-two years, after talking my Mom into coming up here from DC so I could learn to ski.
And I've done that, even skiing at Breckenridge at -54°F (no wind that nite). The snow had something of a 'hi-freq twang' to it.
I had to go out to run errands yesterday, and figured I could get my hill-climb for the day in by walking even tho there was a bit of wind. The distance was only about 1 1/2 mi.
Even tho I had 2 rest n warm stops along the way, and the same at the far target of my walk, I have never been so cold in my life as I was as I approached home after sunset last nite. I was still cold during my shower this morning.
I cannot imagine playing football in this kind of weather. I think I would shatter if I took the kind of hits I see these guys take.

Faking a slide and thinking he's gonna slide are 2 different things. Allen literally freezes the defense when he changes direction. The defense thought he was gonna slide, but Allen never even changes his body position for a slide. The defense didn't know what was happening...
@@BrianHealyAllen literally lowered his center of mass and began leaning back. Then took off when he saw the defense freeze. That’s literally the definition of faking a slide. Defenders also feeeze because Allen gets such preferential treatment from officials. You barely touch him and you get a penalty. He gets more penalties than any other running QB in the league.
I'm a niners fan and congrats to the Buffalo Bills for winning the wildcard round vs the Steelers. I also like the steelers but in my opinion the steelers did have an ok season. The Bill's fought hard tonight despite the injuries and still won. I admit this wildcard weekend was great to watch and next weekend will be the Divisional rounds and that will be fun to watch. What a great playoff season so far except some crazy penalties. Good luck against the Chiefs and I hope the bills bring their A game next weekend against the Chiefs.

The blocked field goal attempt was a very interesting circumstance in which Buffalo allowed a Steeler touchdown by giving them very short field position. I, personally, always took the "worst case scenario" as a missed field goal and turnover on downs to the other team at the line of scrimmage. This will greatly change how I calculate 4th down decisions in my head (punt vs field goal vs go for it?)

What I’ve realized these last few years as QBs get faster and run more…defensive players are just too scared to tackle running qbs. They’re too afraid of being flagged, and let them run all over the field, often trying to push them down rather than tackle them when they run. hahhahaha soft, now that is funny. Holy is more like it. More holes than swiss cheese that defence has. They couldn't stop a cheerleading squad from scoring. They need to many things fixed to be able to do it by next year. The whole defence besides TJ, the O-line and they need a quarterback. Pickett isn't it. I would rather see Rudolph in there. They have great running backs and receivers and yet they can't score 20 points. Sad, sad times for the Steelers. Might be time for Tomlin to go. He doesn't seem to know how to fix all their problems. I mean since they have been the same ones for at least 3 years now.

Rough game for the Steelers but there are already 3 other playoff teams that have lost in a worse fashion this season (including the Eagles loss in progress). Rudolph and Co turned what looked like a blowout into a semi competitive game at the end. Not too bad.
if Rudolf doesn't get picked up by another team, I would be surprised. the "D" secondary for the Steelers plays too soft and lost this game. also need tackle drills league-wide.

I'm not much for the whole "the NFL is scripted" theory, but that second fumble the Bills challenged was absolutely a fumble. Unless I'm missing something. Looked like it was recovered in bounds. Refs in the huddle like "it's a playoff game. We can't just let the Bills run up the score."
