We just went through a major hurricane. I think they said the worst to hit the area where it made land fall in over 100 years, so please pray for Florida and even Georgia and North Carolina. Everyone I know is safe, suffered no damage but I just sat on the couch during the storm, crying watching areas of the state go underwater or swept away. So much destruction. The losses were significant. I believe 10 deceased and one of them was a young girl. This just after finding out that I will need to go back to the hospital for more tests and treatment under anesthesia. There are huge Florida oaks all around my house. Blessed and made offerings to the trees as always. Very fortunate they stayed put. At some point my savings has to stop going to family and to an arborist instead to come out here and help with the trees. The natural disasters are very anxiety producing. The hurricane is bad enough then there are all the tornado warnings. I think I must have re-arranged the same 5 objects on the coffee table dozens of times. Pretty much eat at home all the time. No tats but I would like a black swan as it is my family's totem on our coat of arms. Bento boxes are great. Wow that lotus is such an important part of Buddhism
