I had my lifelong dream come true when I was able to visit the Ailey school, take some Extension classes, get the tour and show my advanced students the power and legacy of Alvin Ailey. Terri Wright was our Horton teacher and with her bright welcoming style, her humour and strength, I am a forever fan. Thank you Terri for embodying Mr Ailey's philosophies and know that you are inspiring so many others to embrace not only dance, but Dance within themselves.

I too, was frequently the only black person in Ballet Class. I totally understand what Terri is saying. Because the Ailey Extension welcomes every person..no matter what race, age or background I'm totally comfortable there. It's my home away from home. I will always support Alvin Ailey's vision. 💕
