The all-new Nugget camper has been developed in partnership with leading camper converter Westfalia, and features the popular multi-zone unique interior layout that continues to set Nugget apart from its competitors.
From the outside, the Nugget looks like any other Transit / Tourneo Custom with the exception of the roof that incorporates the pop-up mechanism and the Westfalia-branded extendable awning positioned on the right-hand side
The interior, for example, is said to be easier to move around in, courtesy of a lower, flatter floor and a new, more compact dashboard design. There's an integrated side step for easy access, too, and the Nugget boasts "class-leading sliding side door and rear tailgate apertures".
The new camper's cabin features a redesigned layout that includes distinct cooking, living, and sleeping areas. Ford assures that even with both double beds set up, occupants can navigate the space and use the kitchen without disturbing each other.
The rear seating area easily converts into a sleeping or dining space when parked, and the front seats can be fully rotated to face the back. All seats come with heating, and rear passengers now enjoy enhanced speakers along with standard USB-C charging ports.
Further back, the L-shaped kitchen unit features a taller, more accessible drawer fridge, an integrated hob and sink, soft-close latches, and a worktop that is 20% larger than before. The kitchen also offers increased headroom when the rooftop bed is deployed.
Additionally, the rooftop bed is designed for easier morning setup, utilizing a new "self-folding" fabric for its walls. New roller blinds replace curtains, allowing for a quicker and simpler transition from night to day mode.
The latest Nugget features a dedicated storage cubby for camping chairs inside the boot lid, a pull-out awning above the side door, and 350W solar panels to charge the leisure battery. It also includes a 7.0-inch color touchscreen for all interior controls.
Additionally, an integrated inclinometer helps the van level itself when parked, ensuring an easy setup for a comfortable night’s sleep. A 5G modem provides fast internet access, making it easier to stay connected even in remote locations.
The new Nugget will also be offered with a plug-in hybrid powertrain for the first time, pairing a 2.5-litre four-cylinder petrol engine with an electric motor for a combined 230bhp, while an 11.8kWh battery will supply an EV range in the region of 20 miles.
The ICE-powered Nugget is equipped with a robust 2.0-liter EcoBlue diesel engine that delivers 168 hp, paired exclusively with an 8-speed automatic transmission. The company has announced that all-wheel-drive options will be available for the campervan,

I’ve looked all over the country for this and it’s no where to be found. Now I read a comment it’s not available in the US. When they say “Fore Country” they don’t mean America anymore 😢 bummer

C’est bien joli tout ça mais on ne voit pas comment on manipule le toit surtout pour la fermeture : y a t’il toujours le système de la tige à tenir en même temps que l’on tire? Personnellement je n’avais pas trouvé ça pratique et infaisable seule et il faut être grand!

Dag VW California! Nu Ford ook de VW transporter heeft ontworpen en inmiddels bouwt, heeft Ford gratis en voor niets de gehele VW California scene van VW cadeau gekregen! Want waarom zou je nu nog een VW California kopen? Daarbij komt dat de nieuwe California is gebaseerd op de multivan die kleiner en duurder is dan de Ford ‘concurrent’. 😮
No BEV version? Then it's not future proof.
I have unfortunately just taken delivery of one of these vans and it is the worst van I’ve ever had. Three weeks and it’s been back to the garage three times and not been able to fix it. The sat nav does not work it many places because the r deliver can’t pick up a signal. Some mornings it will not start and a message “vehicle blocked” is displayed for over ten minutes. It wants to try and do a software update most days. If I pressure wash the underneath the footwell is wet because of all the unfinished holes and seams underneath. In fact it’s not even seam sealed or painted underneath. Wiring connectors are exposed to the weather and in places such a wheel arches. The inner wheel arches don’t even fit properly. The seats have a label on them saying “low cost” which is terrible for a £50,000 vehicle. Then there are all the driver safety distractions/hazards, sorry “aids” that pull the steering wheel to the side and apply the brakes when ever it encounters something like a side barrier on the road or a speed chicane. There are many more faults and most are ignored by ford or not able to be fixed.
