IITs have reasonable and affordable fees and if you are reserved category student then you will get full tution fees waiver because all the IITs get huge funding from central government every year . Fees of IIMs and also law colleges like NLUs have high fees because they do not get fund from central government as most of the education budget is spent on Medical and engineering studies in India. They are autonomous and have to maintain all the expenses on their own . That's why they charges more and because of huge brand value created of these colleges, students try to get admission into them any how and ready to pay as much they charge.

Many have to start from scratch. So at least utilise what you have and see if you like it. You can try to add new things into the business to make it interesting for you and also with modern tech integration you can gain upper hand over your father as you'll have more knowledge about it. So you can earn your leadership by bringing some value into the business so that your father can value you not just as a son but as someone who can create a lot of success in that business.
