I worked out with him when he was with the Mets for a couple of years. I was a 13 year old at the time and he was more than helpful to me. Great person and I hope he does so well
amazing story. super inspiring to me because I’m a little guy too. blew out my shoulder real bad but I’m fighting to make a full recovery. I miss pitching so much
I really appreciate hearing from Justin's family. They all radiate kindness and intelligence. I wish the Mets had never traded Justin in what will go down as one of the dumbest trades in baseball history. I'm still a Mets fan despite their criminal, arrogant owners, but I wish Justin all the best in his career going forward. #LFGM
@@FunWithMemesFunWithMemes cano was good this year and I wrote this comment before canos suspension. He had a great 2020, but we all know where that came from... Edwin Diaz was good for you guys besides the beginning of the year, and Dunn was kinda irrelevant, so it was essentially Edwin for Kelenic, which is slanted in Seattle’s favor, but not horrible like the Chris archer trade
Aw, this is such an awesome story. Have no association with Seattle (from California by way of Cleveland), but played and watched the game my entire life... Justin's conversations remind me so much of my time playing for my dad and other coaches. I'm SOOOO thankful for them; I LOVE that he tells his dad "WE did it.". Can't wait to watch this guy's career!
Ah Watch Momentum... Always posting content that makes you feel a certain way and love baseball even more. I never knew who Justin was but this video made me a fan. Excellent video and can't wait until this channel blows up.
I watched Josh Reddit play on the field when he was a kid.He got the same thing. You are to small to play.Josh was raised dirt poor. But his daddy made sure Josh had what he needed. It is not the size of the player...but the size of the heart of the player.
LOL! I'm like exactly like Dunn. I'm 14 rn but I'm a pitcher, I have no back up plan. My one and only plan is to get to the big leagues. My dad and I also argue a little after games if I made a mistake. LOL.
I wonder if he knows... there is a write up on baseball prospects, and Seattle's GM was talking about this kid they got down in the minors, that is learning how to shape his pitches to the point he can do anything he wants. He was talking about Justin Dunn. The article was on the advancements of technology teams are using to teach pitchers how to pitch and not just throw. They have all the cameras and angles and sensors to get max spin rate, to create shape on different types of curves, repetition on delivery, how to create different breaks at different angles. How to scout hitters --the whole 9. This kid is ready to learn at the MLB level.
Man I hope I get your height I’m a pitch not the best velo but my pitches have a lot of movement I’m 5,3 and I just turned 14 I have trouble pushing threw the fact that it’s going to be tuff and trying not to doubt myself my moms 5,1 dads 5,9-5,10 so I’m not getting tall
Future STUD. Thank you momentum for giving this kid a chance to get his name out there. As an mariners fan I’m stoked to see what he can do.
Jackson Hald same here ! Go M’s
The Rebuild looking very good
3 optimistic mariners fans let’s goooo
Not a mariners fan, but I'd definitely root for this guy unless he's pitching against my reds!
@@evantaylor7531 he's pitching for the reds today
Dude has a good supportive family around him. Wish him the best of luck
This kid’s makeup is OFF THE CHARTS. Great character, caring human being. I wish him nothing but the best in his professional career.

Met this guy when we were playing at baseball heaven and he was with the Mets and boy did I not know that this was his story how inspirational

This dude is great, wish the mets would have kept him. Best of luck to him on what will surely be an amazing career
this was so amazing. you guys are killing it. that editing, the content, BEAUTIFUL!

Thankyou!!!!! Showing my team some love Go Mariners!!!!!
Die hard Mets fan.. So mad we traded him for nothing really Edwin can't pitch in NY smh Great story Wish him luck in Seattle 💯💯💯
as a loyal mariner fan I feel bad for your adventures with Edwin. It's hard to believe he fell apart so much after being the single best reliever
Edwin has been great. Same with cano. Decent trade on both sides
@@joshconnell8797 Edwin yes, but Cano just got suspended. Besides, Cano was only going to be a bad contract that Seattle wanted off the books

Best of luck Justin!
Stoked to see what Dunn can do on the M’s. I think he can be a solid starter in the league if his command struggles get worked out.
Wish the Mets kept this guy, but regardless happy to see him get called up last year. I’m sure he’ll be good for the Mariners.
When i was younger I played in HBQVB and i met him and him family. Hes a cool dude

Man I love these type of video
Please get more of this. This is the side of baseball everyone should see too!
Inspired man. Hard staying consistent when you don’t see the results.
Great vid... I'll be keeping an eye out for this guy. I can only imagine what it takes to get to the show.
Great content! Love these type of profiles, not enough content like this from MLB.
3:21 love that reaction
Dang... love this story. Big fan of this dude now.

Always trying to tell the most compelling stories in baseball!
The baseball success is great, but what gets to me is the father/son relationship. ❤
Awesome story. Really excited to see him in the roto next year. Please bring in that work ethic for pitchers and catchers so you claim that spot.

Found my next autograph to collect and put in my display case. Awesome road but just think the dudes journey has just started.
hopefully, it'll be worth a ton very soon 👀
This fires me up
This is absolutely incredible
Love it! Dudes gonna be a baller in Seattle. Can’t wait to watch him pitch every 5th day
Were all proud of you kid, you made it and always be proud of yourself.. I tried 1000000% and never made it, came close but not close enough
What an inspiration!

I'm so freaking pumped to be able to watch this kid in seattle, an absolute beast!
I want to see the Mariners make it to the World Series? And WIN! 💪😎
SPICY BEAR amen 🙏🏻
Good young man with a good family
Momentum is the best content producer for baseball!!!
*blushes*
Hope the best for Justin Dunn. Hated to see him go in that trade. Great story
Some great content, hope he dose good next seems on
Go Dunn! Go M’s and go Momentum
Praying plus hard work will get u there
Even if he was small when he was younger he probably wasn’t that small in High school he is 6”2’ 5 inches taller than the average male
Facts
When they say small they might mean body mass wise or he had a late growth spert
Dang I'm a freshman pitcher and I am 5'7 and 110 lbs this is inspiring.
Great story!
Seen him pitch in AA Binghamton. He will be a big name one day. Also nice kid to talk with!
I’m so mad the Mets traded him! We need to fire BVW!!

Lets go win a fucking World Series Justin. You, Logan Gilbert, Marco, Justus, kelenic in 2022 will be the year it all comes together!!!
Great movie
Great video.
How can you not be romantic about baseball
What’s so tragic about this story ? Bro 6’2 throwing gas !
Mets should’ve never traded him
ONES OUTCOME IN LIFE DOES NOT DEPEND ON ONES INCOME-ONES OUTCOME IN LIFE DEPENDS HOW YOU OVERCOME...
Ik no one would see this but I can relate when someone says have a backup plan it just gets me mad but I have faith I can make it as a 3rd baseman.
Heart over height❤️
Eyy the brother's name is Ryan Dunn, iykyk
It sucks the Mets traded him away... this kids gonna be a stud in Seattle
So glad the Mets traded this promising starter for the mega contract of Cano, who was terrible coming off a PED suspension :(
And we have this guy up this trade looks worse and worse
Dude had 9 walks tho in 6.2 inn 😬 but still he looks good
🙏🏽🙏🏽
He remind me of Pedro Martinez!
Awesome guy but I hate when people say "he wasn't the biggest"... Like only a few people are big on teams so most players aren't the biggest...
momentum has to market its player cuz MLB wont
What happens when your good at pitching but nothing else?

Where's this guy got your baseball cards
He was small then but he is 6 2 now my parents are 5 7 and5 2 so think about how tall I will be
Howdy
