I've been waiting for this animation for two years and MAPPA must have had two years of production. To be honest, the production period would have been longer than the first part of Attack on Titan, but I'm disappointed that the most important episode in Chain Saw Man was made with a low resolution 3D. I wasn't dissatisfied with the writing, but I expected a cool, fast and fast action scene. MAPPA said they would be responsible for their 10 years of animation and I believed it, but I'm so disappointed and upset.
After watching the 1st ep, I have to say the CGI is disappointing lmao, it's not that distracting but of course deep down in all our hearts (just admit it buddy) we wished everything was 2D so it can as good as JJK level of animation. the aesthetic is great and fitting to the story, the color grading is beautiful, and I love how they even make 2d animation movement looks a little rigid and rough just so it can blend well the CGI, but the CGI itself is not that great. HOWEVER so yeah, adaptation of ep1 was a 6/10 for me
some of yall need to understand that animating that much extra details would require much more time and effort for the animations, brah yall need to stop complaining abt the cgi and every minor detail, it looks fine the animators did so well considering how mappa animators are extremely overworked and they did amazing in the end
Yeah, I finished the manga and pretty hard to admit because i mean I love it, and its finally animated so we'll take what we have but yeah the cgi was pretty bad, hope it gets better but if the 1st episode is like this bro... still gonna watch it though, also new manga chap dropped
