main channel version: • how // animated loop
the animation for the april fools joke on my main social medias, 100% created in gd (looped in premiere). just felt like posting here cos it is geometry dash after all
ive always had the idea to fully create an animation in gd and pass it off as a regular after effects animation that would fit into the rest of my portfolio, and in a last minute decision i just decided to do that for april fools (well im not really fooling anybody on my gd channel but u get the idea). this took just under 11 hours (according to betteredit) over 3 days, and the entire process was surprisingly smooth compared to my expectations.
after creating the intro to 'lying and loving' i already had a general idea of how to set things up but never to such a larger scale like this, so it was somewhat of a learning curve. ive posted this level onto the servers as a free copy for those who want to look through the level and learn from it (like an .aep lol). each segment has tons of labels so hopefully it all makes sense.
