I just had to pause halfway through the video to salute this amazing teacher. Thanks so much for the simplified yet elegant explanation. I'm preparing to deploy my first Django REST Framework API and this is just the DigitalOcean crash course I needed.
Well documented. The fact that it has time stamps and that the structure of how the information is delivered, cohesively ties it for my non-IT brain, is very admirable. It's like very easily chewable food for my baby brain. I feel like I have better understand under two hours. I can watch a section and write notes after, and it's satisfying because the way it was shared was understandable. My notes are clear af. Thank you for this!
This is a very great and good course. I really got a lot of information and some practical work to do. Great Thanks to Mehul. Keep doing the good work man.
I have used both AWS and DigitalOcean for my personal IOT projects. I like DigitalOcean better. With AWS, it's hard to control the cost and it's hard to completely stop it from charging you after you stop using it.
for beginners and intermediate they choose digitalocean, its simple and straight forward but for AWS by goodness, they are offering with almost inter-related services with some hidden and surprising bill
Could you re-explain what is nginx? I mean tcp is already there to send/receive info to/from client machine. 3-way handshaking procedure as we all know. Why do we need nginx to perform the same task? By the way, thanks for the in-depth tutorial.
The most popular use-case of nginx is reverse proxy. Think of this way - your single server might run 5 different node apps on a single domain. /node1 would be directed to first node process, and so on. Since you expose a single domain and single port to the outside world, somebody has to sit in front and pass the traffic to the internal node apps - nginx can do that. Not only that, you can use it to load balance, add more rules for granular route matching, implement rate limiting and so much more. It is also super fast and performant being written in C. So many benefits
