hey guys in this video we are going to show you the Hyundai Staria
The Hyundai Staria is an 11 passenger van that has 4 rows of seats, 3 in front, 3 in the first row, 2 in the middle row and 3 in the last row.
The Hyundai Staria comes equipped with a radio and blutooth but it does not have Car Play or Apply Play to mirror your phone. It does have USB ports in the dashboard and throughout the van so you can charge your devices. It also has front and back air conditioning and this van has an automatic transmission.
The Hyundai Staria has 11 seats but it is recommended for 8 people for the most comfort and safety. I am 5'4 or about 162 centimeters and the seats were comfortable for me with just enough legroom.
In the next clips, we are going to show you the luggage space. In this configuration, we have all the seats in the van and the last row of 3 seats are pulled up so the luggage space is not that much, we have two carry ons and two check ins in this shot
What we recommend is to remove the 2 middle seats so that all the seats can have more space. In this shot, Yeison has plenty of legroom in the first row and he is 6'2 or 187 centimeters. In this shot, he is sitting in the last row with more legroom and he can even fit a carry on comfortably at his feet. Here you can see the luggage space is now a bit bigger with the last row of seats completely pushed in.

Thanks for this video! Would this van work for a drive to and around Monteverde? There will be 7 adults in our group. A 7 passenger SUV won't work well because we also need luggage space for 7 of us.

The Staria is a popular van among tour operators and tour guides. They usually use this vehicle to transport their clients and take them to all popular places in Costa Rica, including Monteverde. This van is very capable and will definitely work for your group of 7.
However, make sure to check with your hotel, host, or Airbnb and ask them if a van can make it to their location. The same goes for any attraction you would like to visit. Most of the time, you will be perfectly fine with the van, but double-checking can save you some last-minute troubles.
