Thank you for filming this! After watching it, I decided to simply epoxy the lens back into the housing and motor mount for the time being... will probably put new mirrors in down the road during a more major restoration... seems like a lot of work, but again a very helpful and informative video.
Working on replacing the passenger side mirror on my 88 GT. Didn’t need to remove the door panel to unplug the mirror but seems I might need it to plug in the new mirror, blah.
I wish I could help you Larry. Unfortunately I sold the car. I remember when I was looking for any videos on the mirrors for fox bodies I had a difficult time finding anything. That's why I put this one together in the first place. Good luck bud.
Well, I guess you're lucky you got that much out of it. I really wasn't planning on doing it. It was kind of a spur of the moment thing. Most of the stuff I paused for was literally just unplugging a harness, so I figured people would at least understand what I meant. She was a great car. I regret selling it.

Just what I needed to know. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks for this, I need to restore the finish on my '93 Cobra's mirrors and this will be a big help.
Glad I could help. I bought the trim paint from LMR and the final result came out perfect and looked factory.
This was taken right before I sold it last year. You can see the mirrors in the beginning of the video.

My mirror is manual so I assume I don't need to take the door panel off
Do a video on how to take the mirror apart.

Be nice if you would spring for a tripod.....that way you can show your work instead of pausing.
