My nephew played for him the last four years. The players thought he was on adderall and that always made sense to me after he told me that and I watched him speak. Although he did seem to sniffle a lot..

I am a retired US Army Officer, and I will expound on our Army training paradigm - Crawl, Walk, Run. Essentially speaking, you have to master the Crawl before Walking, then master the Walking before Running. Our mantra is enforcing the standards. I firmly believe this is the tack Elko will use. Moffitt will have a great influence as well. I say this because our OL and secondary were not ready to hit the Run phase.
I have a lot of confidence the defense will be significantly better this year. He has added proven producers on the defense, and he knows defense. The net production for the transfers is we got a lot of production and lost a lot of potential. That is a positive delta. I have no doubt with Elko's expertise in the defense and the fact he has sent many players to the NFL, we will recruit top defensive players.
If only we can see a significant improvement on the OL. We need a Kenyon Greene type of OL who can guarantee making holes for the RBs. That would be a huge plus.

Jimbo is a great coach but not at Texas A&M. He just kept spending money and pushed the blame elsewhere. I believe in Mike Elko actually developing players and making football more consistent in terms of winning.

A&M's defense in Elko's last year was better than Alabama's in that same year, and that was before A&M had a defense littered with 5 stars. If you don't believe me, go back and watch A&M's defense vs Alabama in 2021. A&M finished with the #3 defense in the country while Alabama's defense finished #5.

You understand that A&M is rich? NIL has changed college football forever. The universities with money will win going forward. LSU is broke Louisiana trash with no money. Get ready for A&M to surpass LSU in sports. In 50 years A&M will be of a different class than LSU. That's how time works.
