God, I love this series! What a beautiful place. Last time I saw Northern Scotland was from the sea, launching 5 inchers into the gun range from the mighty warship USS Bainbridge. I have been longing to return to launch little white golf balls since...

I played Kingsbarns a few years ago, it was the best course I have ever played but I needed to take out a mortgage to pay the green fees...
What you are showing in this hidden gems series (and your other videos) is that you can play the most amazing golf courses at a reasonable price which is surely what us average golfers all want !!

I've seen some great looking courses on youtube and personally but I have never seen a course this beautiful. The backdrops and scenery are almost divine.
The drive up from Inverness is almost as spectacular
These courses highlight the true history of golf and demonstrate how courses were originally designed back in the times of Auld Tom Morris. Rugged rough, undulating greens, sea breeze and bunkers. Such a gem to have found these and bring an awareness to other golfers.
Liam, I just love the intro to The Hidden Gems. The music, the overhead shots. Just brilliant!

Live in Scotland and I’ve played golf all over Europe,the U S and Canada. But I’m ashamed to say I’ve neglected the exceptional courses all over Scotland. Need to rectify this especially after watching this series. Fantastic Hidden Gems series 👏🏻👏🏻

This series is going to help wile away the winter months.
Scenery is beyond description, golf varies from sublime to the hysterical, courses are a credit to the greenkeepers battling with the elements, and Simon’s course management comments are a lesson to us all.
All that said, when Mr Barlow hit his tee shot at the last i nearly fell out the chair laughing, sporting moment of the year for me.
What. A. Course!!!!!!!!!! Seriously that was mouth-wateringly good.
Big shout out to Simon - what a proper golfmate he is. Always ready with the compliments and good spirited banter.
Loving this hidden gems the banter the editing but most of all the views. Yous are the luckiest bunch of mates ever🤷👏👏🏴

What a stunningly beautiful golf course! The view on the last hole is amazing! Every single hole is beautifully set on the course! This the way a golf course should be! For only being 4800 yards, it is a true test for any golfer! The course owners need to have a professional photographer come out and take pictures of each hole and put out a calender to help publicize the course! I would love to have one sent to me here in the US!
LIAM...you need to put together a set of photographs, and put out a book showing all of these "Hidden Gems!" Imagine the popularity these courses would get...and it would help these courses financially! Golf Mates from all over the world would purchase the book!

Played it yesterday as part of the North Winter Golf Alliance. Unbelievably for late October conditions were similar to what you had. Absolutely a must play course.

That par 5 is the only eagle I've ever had , did the same as you but was fortunate to hit the pin and sit on the lip for a tap in. The course was as busy that day too,

So glad you got there, I played it at 6am about 15 years ago and it just got better all the way round so was delighted to play it again off the other tees to make up the 18.
And I thought my memory of it being a belter was clouded by getting a 2 on the last.
(Dunaverty is one for the list for the next set)

What a fantastic series of hidden gems , each one gets better than the previous , I thought some of the others were outstanding , but watching this makes me want to play there and make the trip up north ..Mr Barlows tee shot on the last had me in absolute bits , especially hearing Joe crack up in the background 😂

Liam, you really, really, REALLY must check out Lofoten Links in Norway. The scenery getting there is otherworldly, just stunning. The course is something else, it should be on everybody's bucket list of courses to play. It's a trek to get there but well worth the journey and the course is phenomenal. Please have a look at some of the youtube videos on the islands and golf course.

I remember playing a course in Anchorage Alaska at 11 o'clock at night. What fun! We had to wait for moose a few times before we could shoot. One was hanging out on the green!
No moose over there pal, plenty of deer though, glad your enjoying the series.
