- It's been 43 years since John Lennon was assassinated in front of his home at the Dakota. Thanks to his wife Yoko the world has a place to gather, commune and celebrate the music of this legendary genius.

I've been watching these for the past few days. Just wonderful. Beautiful. All ages, all races, men and women, black and white, singing songs 50-60 years old. So much love, so much happiness. I am going to attend this year whether it's 9th October or 8th December - I have to go and be a part of this. Thanks to you guys, so so grateful for this.

Yes, it most probably is. If you check out my channel for the New York State of Mind video you’ll see a quote from John Lennon written in chalk on a sidewalk saying what you said about Ancient Rome and New York.
And I am constantly reminded of how lucky the world was and is to have had Yoko, whose wisdom and foresight makes Strawberry Fields, in Central Park right across the street from their apartment at the Dakota where he was killed, possible. That people have been gathering here for well over forty years, well that’s a tribute to John and his music

Texas here. Was a girl of 7 when John and his mates were on Ed Sullivan. Love that y'all change instruments from year to year, letting everybody try the drums, the guitars and everybody the vocals of our childhoods. Bless y'all!

I stumbled across this video by accident and I was blown away. I grew up with The Beatles, and it's wonderful that The Beatles songs are being kept alive. It would be worth a trip across the pond to just to see these guys play, and pay my respects to John Lennon. Greetings from a wet and windy England.

On so many fronts it feels like the world is burning down. Nevertheless, it's a small comfort to realize in spite of everything that I do live in a world where people still care about John Lennon and The Beatles. Care enough to gather at Strawberry Fields on Dec 8 and keep their music alive.

Absolutely. But I made my commentary about John because thankfully Paul wasn’t brought down by an assassin’s bullet in front of his home at the pinnacle of his, and yes their, career. But to your point, I did think about it. Especially because one year many moons ago I was standing on one of the benches and one of the guys pointed at me and said, Paul is here with us as he pointed me out to the crowd. 😎
