The words at the podium from our government are cheap and meaningless to the countless individuals and families who have already and will lose their lives. As the son of a proud Vietnam War veteran, this situation in Afghanistan saddens me beyond grief. We were bound to pullout at one point or another, but my problem is with the way it was executed. As an American, our words used to mean something. They don't mean much of anything anymore.

    • @-Neutron-Star
      @-Neutron-Star 3 года назад +1

Thank you for saying those words. Means a lot more than what Biden said yesterday. Biden lacks the moral courage that he could not speak even two words for the local families, women, and children left to Taliban's mercy.

The plane at the Afghan airport took the dogs and luggage to escort those people away, but the poor Afghans could only drag the plane into the air to make room for more people, but because of the desire for people and property, some people chose the latter. 😂 The accident caused the United States to owe its lives to the Afghan people. The war in Afghanistan is more like a business disguised as war. Biden reportedly went back on vacation after giving the Afghanistan speech. You can see how contemptuous he is for the lives of the Afghan people.

"We're mindful". "We understand". "We FEEL for you". Doing the "best we can". TRANSLATION : Ain't gonna do diddly IN TIME to get the tens of thousands outta there that have a death warrant b/c we left them behind, but at least "we feel your pain". Mind numbingly frustrating. The state dept has known for months and months, they've been warned, they've ignored the pleas to get these people out before the whole country falls. At least can take comfort that our leaders know how to turn a phrase and I'm sure we'll hear more platitudes of heartfelt condemnation when surprise, surprise, decent Afghan people are callously murdered by the Taliban.

@@TariQ-nx3uz My comment is not about Afghanistan in general, I am referring to translators and whatnot who have aided the US for 20 years and have been promised a safe exit in this very circumstance. Many of the people wanting to get into the airport have green cards and documentation. We have them in a database and unfortunately the Taliban also has access to those names. So maybe I should have said thousands instead of tens of thousands in regard to the people we specifically committed to protect in the event of a Taliban takeover.

This is a National shame. We made a deal with the people of Afghanistan and you can argue it any way you want but we left are friends there down. This isn't a red blue things, its are word as a nation. I am ashamed of my country today. Not are heroes who gave there all or were wounded or serve now. Our National pride and integrity are at stake and that should be bigger than an election cycle. Its a disgrace. God help the people who can't get out. And I hope the Taliban have mercy on them.

The Afghan people are also very much to blame in this. When you have 300,000 Afghan soldiers just basically give up without a fight against a Taliban with 75,00 soldiers, it’s doomed no matter what. They have no desire to fight for their own homeland

1 Biden retreated too quickly the Army did not withdraw, the Air Force ran first to give the Taliban great confidence, this is the result of Biden's arbitrary line. U.S. military officer reminded Biden but he wouldn't listen? It is not yet discussed with allies. 2 U.S. withdrawal regardless of the Afghan army for four months without wages, food is not available, before the U.S. command of Afghan troops, the government can not command Afghan troops 3 Afghan troops also do not have the U.S. military to run fast, Biden owes the Afghan people a life many Afghan people can not leave Afghanistan can only catch the plane fell to their deaths in the high air😂 which makes humanitarian we sad. 4 Anyone, any media, who blames the former president is extremely irresponsible. You've never dared to fight president Trump's killing of Suleimani Iran's flag. You know Trump's deterrent to these dictators, and those who condemn Trump know. Trump has been out of office for more than half a year, and Trump is relatively peaceful in the Middle East at the time. I don't believe it would be so bad if Trump were in Office,,
