I visited the coffee farm earlier this year and sampled the coffee, the farm was quite difficult to find as it was off the beaten track a bit. The farm owner loves to talk and is very passionate about his coffee, we were sampling it because we are starting a 'homestay' resort and are wanting local produce in out cafe.

Very good and relax video. Khanom Jak looks absolutely amazing. But you know what? If you buy it from those souvenir shops, they're gonna skimp you on the portion size to make a bigger profit. Can you believe that? Still, the whole experience is just awesome if you're into exploring the local scene. Everything looks absolutely wonderful.

Another really interesting video Team D & D 😁. Rural Thailand is fascinating. All the Thai people I have come across on my travels over many years have always been very friendly. Sometimes when you go off the tourist trail they can be a bit shy and it can be a little difficult communicating however with a bit of patience and big smiles you will get there.
Not planning to travel until January but trying to plan ahead Diggy. When you are only traveling for three weeks or so you need to maximise the most efficient way of getting from A to B. I also have to factor in how long it takes to get over Jet Lag as I am finding that is getting worse with age sadly 😉.

Bai Liang pad kai (Stir-fried Liang leaves with eggs) are a special southern dish and are often found in almost every restaurant. Like Moo Hong (Pork stewed with sweet herbs) that you eat when you arrive.
Caution: Most southern food is spicy and very spicy, even if you say it's less spicy.

I don't enjoy watching your clips, my friend. But I'm happy every time because a lot of what you see, you eat, you use and you like is what I grew up with. I was delighted to see you present it to others, even the younger generation in my country may not know and appreciate. Many foreigners only know 3-4 provinces of Thailand, I understand that they don't have much time. But if you try to open your mind, you will find something new that many people don't know, not the same thing that other people know. Have fun and continue to find good things that you guys like.

Khanom chak in palm leavers so yum, I can buy this dessert only when I visit the seaside . The owner said the fibre from inside the leaves is good for brain (doctor told her ).

@@danny_and_diggy ขนมจาก (khanom Jak) is made from scraped coconut meat mix with rice powder, a little bit of salt and sugar that you tasted is right. I think you are right!
Only the palm leaf that wrap is called "jak (จาก)" and the combination of the inside wrapped with "jak leaf" is called "Khanom Jak".
