This quilt is absolutely beautiful! You stitched it with a generous and abundant heart, and so much love, who wouldn't treasure such a special gift! I just found you this evening when I was searching for fabric organizing techniques, you know, something new I hadn't thought of already. I lost my house in the northern California fires two years ago and I've been living in an RV ever since and I have accumulated so much fabric it's insane, and I'm also a music teacher and I have a piano and several guitars and ukuleles and music books in my living area along with my sewing machine and all my beautiful fabric. It's all displayed so beautifully but I need to pack up and move my RV to another location and I'm trying to organize everything before I do that. I don't want to put any fabric out in the outside storage under the RV because I don't want anything to get dusty. So I basically cleaned out all my closets and just got rid of most of my clothing so there would be room for all my fabric, and it seems to be working. I organized my fabric exactly like you said to do it, and that was BEFORE I watched your video :-) the only thing I don't do is make a list. Now that it's mostly done and I only have to find a place for all the browns, red, and green fabrics, I'm not going to start over so I can make a list. But next time I do this organization I will make a list. I'm looking forward to watching some more of your videos. I like your down-to-earth, genuine approach. Thanks for being there!
Thank you so much for sharing this!! It is so funny to see what is really important to people who sew....fabric!!!! I am working right now on a video showing how you can make money selling some of your stash!!! I am so excited about it. Thank you for watching!!! Happy Sewing
@Becky Norton The best way is to start with a video tutorial or a pattern from your local craft store. There are no super easy boy clothes, but just start with something you like. Anything worth doing is worth doing badly. (At first). You won't be perfect the first time you do it, but no one is. Keep at it and you will do fine!!! Happy Sewing!!!!
This really is not that good, just willing to try new things!!! If you look close there are imperfections, but you have to start somewhere. Thank you so much for watching!!!! Happy Sewing!!!
Wish I could do more!!!! We moved to a farm and there are a long list of to dos, not to mention VERY slow internet. It takes videos all night to upload. Thank you for the wonderful compliment. Happy Sewing!
@@thebluekeystone7628 keep going!!!! also stock pile content on to an external hard drive and then take it into town with your laptop and upload while in a local coffee shop or cafe. you can save them private and change it if youre sending them out weekly or on a schedule ! but also i will just watch all your other videos in the meantime :)
I rlly wanna start Quilting but first I need to get a better sewing machine my grandmother used to make quilts for all the new babies and all the grandchildren but she passed away recently and nobody in my family that I know of makes quilts like she did so I wanna pick up where she left off so that way there is still that tradition
That is such a wonderful thing!!! Picking up where your grandma left off. You really can start with any working machine. I reviewed the cheapest sewing machine at Walmart, and it could make this whole quilt. You can do it!!!! Thank you so much for watching!!! Happy Sewing!!!
I heard ya, “go,go gadget arm!” My kids used to love that, now I’m making a quilt for their children.

Just use straight line quilting on your pretty quilt then practice until you feel good about your self and use free motion on your next one
