Love this video! Every time I listen to this, God highlights something new I hadn't heard the previous bazillion times! Lol! One very minor correction, but I think it makes a big difference in the impact which is the only reason I bring it up: Viktor Frankl would see the change in a person, into death, within days of their all-hope-is-lost phase. In one case of a guard, it was the very next day! Shawn (accidentally I'm sure) misspoke & said 3 years. I too, would highly recommend "Man's Search for Meaning," -very insightful book. A little more geek-out time: this time around, I heard the part about gratitude being the start of perception shifting. Oh my goodness! God has been teaching me about perspective the last couple of years, but I'm realizing it really did start with an amazing "a-ha" moment surrounding gratitude! He gifted me that experience before I knew what was going on! All I had to do, was to do the first step He led me to do--to color & listen to music. This was a very difficult thing to choose in the midst of a heavy depression & anger & the accompanying cyclic thought patterns; yet at the same time, it was a very simple choice and action He asked me to do (& seriously, He was asking me to do 2 things I looove to do!). Once I sat down and started coloring, God took over and before I knew it, my heart AND my mind were just full of gratitude!!! What a difference! And it was enough of a contrast to catch my attention and thus, to start asking "why". Anyway, I have so many points of connection with this message (and several others of Shawn's) that it's ridiculous......ridiculously awesome! I love how God does this stuff constantly💜

This teaching is equal to Dr. Berne Browns ted talk on vulnerability. So important for Christians in general to get this and apply it. Super important for leadership of a church or any Christian movement to understand this and apply it...
You should consider a book and/or an Ecourse on this subject. Your ability to articulate your point is amazing and continues to bless my wife and I over and over again... Looking forward to what comes next.....
