Agree very interesting but cuirassiers seems way too powerful- extra attack dice (8) even when disordered and receiving cavalry charge at stand, extra defence bonus plus pistol shooting. Not sure this accurately reflects the historical reality of their performance generally against Swedish style cavalry? I’m dead jealous of your room/table, even if my wife isn’t 🙁
Still not really warming up to the epic strips but on the gaming table they do make an impression. Also have to say, the size of the table and the scale of the miniatures give it a much more realistic feel, probably because miniature scale is more in harmony with the ground scale than in 28 mm. Kinda confirms my own deliberation regarding a future 30yw project, even though some of the 28 mm offerings are really tempting. Thanks for the video!
I feel the same way and prefer in general to paint 28's but the smaller scale looks better on the battlefield and the issue with long pikes on figures is much less of a problem with the scale and material of the epic figures.
This is a really good battle report. Nice one, thank you for posting. Hope you do some more solo reports like this.
That's the plan!
Enjoyed watching the battle, Don. Thanks for presenting it. We were surprised at how effective and maneuverable the artillery was for SYW.
heavies cant move but light ordinance was designed to move with the infantry
I admire your ability to play tabletop miniatures games solo. Never could manage it myself, mostly because I am a savage cheater.
lol who says I dont cheat when my opponent isnt watching...... #geminiplay
