Smart man using the respirator , as important as safety glasses in my opinion. Nice video, thanks
Thank you
Is there a way to get this to cut 25 foot logs down .. I'm considering filling a 25 foot container with everything I'll need to frame a 16×45 with attached mudroom 8×10 and attached garage .. But I want to fill the container with 24'3" precut 2×4 2×12 2×6 4×4 12×12 and some uncut 24 foot sections about 10 inches round .. Having a 25 foot box truck and shipping container it just seems easier to go long and have plenty of cut off ...
I see pallets all the time for free or for sale ...are those slats good for interior walls...
One inch OSB or one inch marine treated plywood for subfloor ?
Wow... Pretty amazing work, Jamie! 😃
For some weird reason I didn't see this video before! It just showed up in the recommendations! 😂
Anyway, stay safe there with your family! 🖖😊
Great video. Do you happen to have a link or information on how, or where to get the trailer this unit is sitting on with the wheels? I would like this setup for veterans in Montana.
The trailer frame is from an old popup camper here is a short video on what it looks like and I tell a little about it
@@jlistdiy I dont see a video, or link.
@@myexperience302 oh man I'm sorry ruclips.net/video/HLQQeZqVrJs/видео.html
Thanks for posting. I notice the website says it will handle logs up to 20 inches. Did you need to modify it to take the 23" log? Thanks!
No modification was needed the log surprisingly fit with no issues
@@jlistdiy Because you wasted the tope 4" of lumber.
How is it mounted to trailer i have a camper trailer frame. Can i leave it wide or would i need to narrow the trailer frame to the mill track. I hope that makes sence. Thank you
I mounted it with bolts and I left the frame wide I actually made a video showing what I did I hope this helps ruclips.net/video/HLQQeZqVrJs/видео.html
@@jlistdiy thank you
@@jaytank31 your welcome
Are you in the Hickory board selling business, or is that for personal use?
Where did you buy the trailer? Nice setup!
The trailer is just a popup camper frame
ok mister
Hft site shows the sawmill is rated to cut a 20” log. Did they change design or is it just under rated?
It's under rated
Nice, I loved.
How much is the price to buy a this sawmill and specs, or where to buyed? How long the logs can cutter?
Francisco From Santa Cruz Bolívia.
It was about $2400 us dollars delivered right to my driveway the track is 13 feet long and 30 inch wide comes with a 301cc engine and takes a 144 inch blade the length of logs you can cut are about 9 feet and the trailer frame was not included with the saw
@@jlistdiy
It’s no but.
Do you buyed in US or Canada?
Can you provide me any website or contact from the seller?
Thank you in advance for all your attention
@@franciscovillarroel652 I bought in in the US and here's a link to the saw where you can order www.harborfreight.com/saw-mill-with-301cc-gas-engine-62366.html?cid=paid_google|*PLA+-+Top+SKUs+-+All+%28Branded%29|Shop+Press|62366&*PLA+-+Top+SKUs+-+All+%28Branded%29&Shop+Press&gclid=CjwKCAjwm7mEBhBsEiwA_of-THrrUf4b5oU3es0vR6QIyavHL5lpMLVYHGJBw_lI4QcgHSHMc1PrLhoCiRAQAvD_BwE
Did the trailer come from harbor freight also
No the trailer was a old popup camper that I tore down
What 2 blades on that hickory , , lol , green huh ? Little motor struggling
Only 1 blade was used and tree was cut down about 6 months beforehand and the engine didn't have to much issues pushing through
I tried milling hickory. It's a tough wood. Terrible on my blades
Oh for sure I'll never mill it again
Looks like that thing is struggling to cut that log. Bet motor won’t last if using a lot, or cutting hard woods.
Still going as of today
I have sawed thousands of logs; Way not rotate the log so you get the most out of it? If you rotated it 1/4 turn you would have wasted less and gotten wider material. I realize this was probably your first go at it...ergo no saw dust. My background, I ran a "De-barker" at Ellington Hardwood in upstate NY. It was my job to select logs based on size and cutability. I would always send the larger, different logs to the head sawyer as he knew how to get the most of every log. I am also a thirty (30) year master carpenter. BTW - Ever hear of a Peavey? Much easier the trying to roll it by hand. Maybe spend more on tools you can use than trying to impress folks with boy toys. You sure have spent money on your "toys". I am impressed. Haha Just kidding, my toys are fun too. We never do seem to grow up...
WTF with the mask ?
With the wind kicking up dust in my face I didn't wanna breath that in
@@jlistdiy I wear one also , but dont pull it up until I start sawing (planning etc.) - I hate wearing them
@@slackjawedyokel1 yeah they do get annoying for sure
