Good job here. For corner gap, I'm masking both sides of column. All I leave is the gap and fill it up very slowly with Tamiya putty. Then, when I removed the tape, I gently clean everything so that the putty doesn't fill mortar small spacing. Course what you did is OK too. I'm doing it this way only because I have a better control on how making the gap disappear. Keep on your good work. That building is very nicely done.
Thanks! Certainly nothing wrong with your method of filling gaps. I have a tube of Tamiya putty that I also use, it just depends on the application. It is good stuff.
for $15 you can not beat a deal like that. :) :) :) nice looking building with good detail work on the bricks by you. I use the magnetic corner clamps for buildings to get clos to 90' corners, much like the 90' magnets used for welding. I have also used 4 lug lego bricks for corner supports too.
Took that same kit, cut end walls in half, and modified the side walls to become one wall. I then blanked out a large number of the windows. I also modified the doors as well and even blanked out some of them as well.
Thanks! Yes, the clear is to protect the paint. This project is finished. I have the other videos of this build in my Model Railroad playlist if you'd like to watch them.

Thanks. I tried to sell it for $15, I'm sure I paid a lot more for it when I initially bought it. Haha

A lot you can do with these for sure
Very nice sir. I like the floor idea. Did you spray the clear coat to protect the brick paint? Look forward to seeing the rest if the build.

Hi. Very interesting. Didn't hear the kind of paint (or primer) used as the base color. Enamel base ? Lacquer ? Acrylic ? Thanks.
The base color is Ace Hardware brand red enamel primer spray paint.
