He's so modest too. The impact he had on modern skate boarding is beyond comprehension. Not only his technical ability, but his style of skating is unlike any other skater I've ever seen. Dustin Dollin has always been my favorite skateboarder, since the first time I saw baker 3 in probably 2008 at 10 years old. I loved how fast his flick was, and how it seemed like every time he caught a trick, it was as if he floated in the air for 10 years before stomping that shit down. After watching this interview, and hearing about how he grew up with his unstable mother and no father, I understand why he resonated with me so much as a kid. We grew up different, but we both come from the struggle, and when you come from dirt, you recognize others who have been there.

Crimany sakes, just watched this last night and it just left me feeling hollow. While I love Dustin's skating and he seems like a great guy, as much as he said he was "chasing love" around the world, I can't help but feel he was simultaneously running from pain. I've partied as hard as these dudes in my early 20s, seen some gnarly shit and am lucky to have made it out without serious consequences, but some of my buddies have lifelong stomach and liver issues from destroying their bodies for fun and "hijinx." I really hope Dollin is one of those rare individuals that can drink forever, but I'm worried he won't even make it to 50 at this rate... much love to him though, and great episode.

Yes. Me and my skate buddies were discussing Dustin Dollin, how great he used to skate. I get everybody gets older, but he seems to struggle with alcoholism. It's just sad to see that he has this problem, and the industry keeps on romanticising this because it's 'COOL'. All I am seeing is he is stuck in this 'piss drunks' loop, which is kind of sad to see.
