@@fabiangutierrez2716 Test Drive 5 for the PS1 was released on 9/30/98 though and featured this track as well as the awesome AF Genius and W.Y.S.I.W.Y.G, so it'd been over a month at that particular point for people to of heard this track, especially since the Pitchshifter album www.pitchshifter.com was released on 4/7/98. If not for TD5, I'd more than likely never have ever discovered this band, which I've loved ever since TD5 opened with the video for Genius. Ever since then, I've loved this band and have been a fan ever since. 🤘
Anyone have any info on this video? Was this on the UK tour? I saw them at a club called The Spirit in Seattle but it didnt have a baricade between the audience like this, and there wasnt a random drumset backlined in the stage...
id be so sad as soon as i played one of my hardest songs,... introduced my band... and noone said shit... pitchshifter is so savage. i wish music had a direction. now a days its fucking bullshit. this was when music was music.
@GrimmDevil9 This was pre-in ear monitors pitchshifter. It was a time when JS Clayden couldn't hear himself the majortiy of gigs. He got vocally a lot better as soon as he invested in in-ear monitors and his voice matured as he got older.
They're brilliant live now. This was from years ago. They're so much better with their new drummer, and able to use in ear monitors. JS can really sing now!
pitchshifter. one of the best bands EVER! always loved their tune tunes, but latly got into the lyrics, JS Clayden is like me, a white English fella, disgusted by racism!
This isn't them at their best for sure, but it's rare footage form a german festival. This was what, 8 years ago? They're on a completely different level these days.
why is it that wen the band is rockin out the crowd iz dead.but yet wen the lead singer throws a water bottle in the air 11 ppl go crazy over tht bottle? -___- T_T smh
Fucking ACE band. Such a good live performance too! What a frontman. It's always a problem playing festivals as large portions of the audience are there to see somebody else. He does a good job of winning themover as the other vids show.
While I don't think it sounds bad... I'd probably be disappointed if they didn't play live even if I thought the live sound was lacking. I've heard some bands that the album sounded great and live they were pretty bad, but it still felt great to see them. I'm not saying to just accept something you think is low quality, but sometimes reality is exactly what you know: The album is corrected to sound perfect - something humans are not. Not to say there aren't some great sounding live bands though.
Everything they did was honest and made me a beliver. They weren't just trying to sell regurgitated ideas. They're a band that survived for more then 17years doing whatever the fuck they felt like which is more then commendable. Everyone else you talks shit about them just talks.
Pitchshifter played great and had the energy to match. What a dead crowd. Someone should've knocked some of those catatonic heads together and got a moshpit started.
Yes 8 years ago this is not their best and the song is not a great choice to play live because its not powerful live. Still they did 10 times better than some of the shit I have seen around here.
I picked this album up at Hot Topic back in 98 and used to blast it. Damn if the lyrics aren't even more relevant today then they were back than!
2022 be like ⚰️ microwaved
Obviously nobody in that mellow crowd has ever played Twisted Metal..
Look at the date man, the game TM3 was released in 31/10/98. Two months later. Greetings!

I LOVE this song it really pumps you up
That weird revving sound at the beginning of this song reminds me so much of the sound when a motorcycle goes by you in the Terminator 2 NES game.
Perhaps it's the same sample?
Twisted Metal!!! 3 I think.

Anyone have any info on this video? Was this on the UK tour? I saw them at a club called The Spirit in Seattle but it didnt have a baricade between the audience like this, and there wasnt a random drumset backlined in the stage...

In 1998, much of Britain's metal crowd really needed some uppers.
They didn't know they were in the presence of technometal legends

Agreed. Ah, I remember the real Hot Topic...now it's all kitties and rainbows.
Wow, that was not how I pictured this band. I think I was expecting them to look a bit like Prodigy.
why is it that wen the band is rockin out the crowd iz dead.but yet wen the lead singer throws a water bottle in the air 11 ppl go crazy over tht bottle? -___- T_T smh
what this band is british? i've allways thought this was a californian band since i played test drive 5 like 7 years ago

Ok they aren't at their best at all.
Just see KJGould's genius live for some power !!!
This is...cute. The singer doesn't have much stage presence. I adore this song though, man. (; I hope the lousy audience didn't bum them out too much.
