My baby is 5 months old. When she was lying in bed. She looks, plays and laughs when we call her, but she listens only occasionally when we sit her in our arms and call her straight to my face. What is the reason, would like to know the doctor's opinion
If you want to know a doctor’s opinion, you need to see your own doctor. Doctors on RUclips cannot give individualized medical advice since they are not your doctor and cannot see you or your baby in person. Just letting you know so you don’t ask these things in the comment section in the future hoping for an answer that will never come, or at the very least shouldn’t come. Good luck to you and your baby. :)
Awesome! Thank you for all the great info to equip and empower, especially first-time parents, with the knowledge to care for our children with confidence! Thank you!
My granddaughter is 5months & she’s up to par with all milestones. She will lay on back and turn to her side to look at something but when she’s doing her tummy time she stays there and cry yet when she was 3 months she was doing, it’s like she’s going backwards
Thank you for watching this video. It's a lot of work for babies to do tummy time, so some babies need to be distracted more when doing tummy time. I have some suggestions in this video that you may find helpful: ruclips.net/video/vLGsbj17fkU/видео.html
It is more difficult for the baby to lift the head up while laying on the tummy. As long as your baby is supporting her own head in all other positions, then it’s not a concern. The only way that your baby will get better at lifting the head up while in tummy time is through daily practice. Find ways to make it more fun for your baby. I have some suggestions of tummy time variations you can try in this video: ruclips.net/video/vLGsbj17fkU/видео.html
My little nugget just turned 5 months yesterday. She loves to roll from her back to her tummy but she doesn’t roll back onto her back from her tummy yet
Hi Docter😊 my baby is now going 5 months. I just want to know your insight about this. When he’s 3 months old, I noticed that he’s not responding to any sounds though he’s getting frightened when there’s sudden loud sound while he’s asleep. Then I just continued to observe till he’s 4months old, he’s responding SOMETIMES but some other time not. Like if he’s too focus on looking at something, he’s not turning his head at all no matter how loud I called or shake things. He only responded if he’s laying on the bed and doing nothing. I’m really really scared that he might be an autism child.
Annabelle I appreciate you asking my perspective. It is early to worry about autism in your baby. The fact that he does startle to loud sounds is very reassuring. Some babies are not phased by sounds and won’t turn and look In response to every sound. Continue to do developmentally appropriate activities with your baby and have your baby’s doctor continue to follow the development.
@@MinhNguyen-si4wg hi! He's okay now. He's very responsive now (thank God). I have new problem now. I'm not sure if it's still okay? I mean he's now going 14 month old by the end of November. I'm a little bothered because he still can't stand without support. I mean he can stand but only like max 3 sec? He started standing with support (holding on his crib) at 7 months. I was expecting that he'll be able to walk by 12 months but it turned out delayed. Should I be worried? Also he haven't say any word than mama. Sorry I might sound paranoid but I can't help it😔
@@annabellesee602 hi Annabelle so sorry for my late reply I’m not very fimilar using youtube. Anyways I totally understand what you mean. Have you gone to the pediatrician? Have him checked out? At that age he should be able to stand alone… thinking of you! Try not to worry so much… remember that if anything early treatment is the best way. ❤️
my baby is 4 months old and easily gets frustrated when he tries to put his toy onto his mouth ,he also screams so loud aswell,is that common at his age? thank you
Thank you for watching this video. Yes some babies get frustrated with their motor development limitations at this age. Their temperaments and personalities also shine through at this age, so that may also be playing a role in how your child is responding.
Great video once again by Dr Belousov with helpful tips! Thank you for mentioning the developmental red flags to be on the lookout for. It would be nice to see a video on the topic of how to deal with a fussy baby when they are going through the gas phase. Thank you!
My pleasure Yelena. And thank you for your feedback. Right now I'm focusing on baby development and activities to do to help them with achieving developmental milestones. In future video series I most certainly plan to address the topic of how to deal with a fussy baby and gas pain.
Hey dr. I have a 4.5 month old baby boy and at times we notice that one of his eys cross inwards for like 10 sec and it come back to normal but its not all the time. Should we be worried.?
Steven thank you for your question. I recommend that you speak to your child’s healthcare provider regarding this, so they can decide if further evaluation is needed. If you’re able to capture when your son does this, on video, it will be helpful for them to know exactly what you’re seeing.
Very informative 👍👍 My 5 month has a bit head lag .. when tummy time she moves her head perfectly to all sides and sometimes pushes her chest up just like u have said in the vidio .. but when held upright her head wobbles a little.. still it hasn’t become stiff.. should I be worried ? Thanks
Thank you for your feedback Devika. No need to worry about the head wobbling a little when the baby is held upright. Her neck muscles will continue to get stronger over the next several weeks and that will go away.
Thank you for watching this video. All babies develop at their own individual pace and some find it easier to roll over in one direction than the other. Keep doing plenty of tummy time with your baby to give him opportunities to practice.
I’ve watched your older video about babies heads. I wish that you would reply because my daughter is 6 months in 2 days and she still has a slight conehead shape. What can I do to help her shape her head? She already sleeps on her side and I keep the back of her head pressure free as much as possible. Would increasing tummy time help? Please reply
Thank you for watching the videos. Increasing tummy time will certainly help. Your babies head shape will continue to change over the next several months as it grows. Without seeing the head shape it is hard to know exactly what it looks like. If you are still concerned about the shape, be sure to have your child's healthcare provider take a close look at it.
Hi my baby just turned 5 months and he still not rolling over or sitting up on his own. He also doesn’t talk back to me but will talk on his own when I’m not there should I be worried ?
Hi Elizabeth, from on mom to another , my baby also doesn't roll over yet nor laugh but she's trying to sit up n she babbles seldom aswell , I assume ur lil man is just observing first , my research says it can take up to six months to reach these goals
Thank you for watching this video Elizabeth. All babies develops at their own individual pace. Some normally developing babies will achieve the milestone of rolling over later than 5 months. Most babies will only be able to sit with support at 5 months and start sitting independently at 6 or 7 months. It's also not concerning that at this age your baby does not talk back in response to you. You should not be worried about these things. Continue to give your baby plenty of opportunities to practice by doing play time on the floor. Also keep talking to your baby and even repeat the sounds that you hear him making right back to him.
Hey doctor.. my boy is a pre term baby born at 32nd week.. he is 3 months and 2 weeks now.. so will he be able to achieve the milestones a normal four months old baby hits?? Or will he take time to do all the activities?? Nyc informative video by the way😚😚
Ayman thank you for your feedback. Since your son was born 8 weeks early, he can be up to 2 months delayed in achieving developmental milestones for his age. Since most premature babies are very resilient, I won't say that it's not possible for him to be achieving the milestones at the same time as a full term baby. But it's normal for a premature baby to take a little longer to achieve those milestones. Keeping doing tummy time with him and teaching him how to roll. If he's delayed, give him some time to catch up.
My four month child don't know to roll on tummy to back or from back to tummy. She never hold things byherself..we haveto unfold her fingers to make her hold things... Doctor, can you please suggest what I can do
@@josephinejoseph3859 I recommend that you keep giving your baby opportunities to practice every day. Each child develops at their individual pace. The months mentioned are averages, some babies start doing it sooner and some later. If your baby is only 4 months now, I wouldn’t worry just yet that your child is not doing these things.
