Me and everyone being so mad after they blew the 9th inning kead and then walking it off and high fiving everyone. When suarez hit that walk off This was amazing so many people around me left after the 8th thinking it was over and them Castillo and Sewald blowing it.
Well, can you blame them for assuming that was it? Those two have been money all year. For one of them to have a bad game is weird enough. For both of them to collapse, utterly collapse, in the same game is just unreal. Or at least surreal.

GAME. OF. THE. YEAR. Julio is a STUD. Hardest hit ball given up by Kenley in the Statcast Era. 117 MPH bounced off the scoreboard and rolled almost all the way to the infield

That big contract extension for Julio is looking better every day. I think he went 6 for 10 for the series. Wow!
What an awesome game this was today. The braves came back and took the lead but the Mariners won it on a walk off homer by Suraez in the bottom of the ninth inning. That crowd erupted and I was happy. I hope the Mariners make it to the playoffs for the first time in 21 years.
Keep your head up you guys are still a top 5 team in my opinion

That stadium was on fire!!!! A crazy ending that I was glad to witness in person!!!
Woke up to a 6-1 lead, then left the play-by-play in ESPN believing thaf it was already a won game. Minutes later, M's trail 6-7, morning ruined. Tuned in again in the 9th and saw how the M's tied it via Julio's HR off one of the best closers in MLB for almost a decade now. Then the walk-off from Geno.
Unbelievable. This team is built for the classic games. Truly hair-raising just watching the highlights.
As a Braves fan this was the most tragic thing I have ever seen on the 11th day of this month

Way too many errors lately. And why a relief pitcher that walks 2 in a row on 8 pitches is left in to give up a 3 run homerun is baffling
Relief pitchers this season hasn't pitched that well, for the most part. What's inside those baseballs, all those monster home runs.

My boss predicted that the M's would lose 7-4. I predicted that we'd win 5-6. I was correct for less than 1 out in the top of the 9th. SO GLAD that my M's took the win. Only had a minor heart attack.

If jansen is NOT replaced as the braves closer they wont win anything in the playoffs!! Dude is finished, cant get out above avg hitters at all it seems. He;s great vs 7,8, and 9 hitters but the rest of the lineup will crush him!! Gotta make a change braves or there wont be a back to back champs!!
That's what they said about Will Smith last season....see how that turned out. Also, like Back to back Champs, while cool, isn't super realistic. It's hard to win one much less back to back. I'm fine making the playoffs and going from there.
Braves bullpen has cost them quite a few games this year and even if they don't cost them the game they give up home runs

When arguably the best bullpen in the majors finally has a collapse game, and the Mariners still refuse to accept a loss, that says something. The Braves have got to be saying, "Man, we came back and everything, and they still won the game anyway. That is a scary good club over there, one that refuses to stay beaten. In a short series they are that most dangerous of teams, the hungry ones."

I also love Shel Silverstien, the guy behind most of Dr Hook lyrics. Monster Mash, Shaving Cream, Tie Me Kangaroo Down, Purple People Eater, Camp Granada, these are all novelty songs, and I love them all. I also love Rocky Horror Picture Show. Tim Curry at his best and Susan Sarandon when she was young and pretty. All my loves rolled into one gooey good season. I was sitting in my season ticket seats for 116, but this is far more fun a team.

I was at this game and it was incredible. Highs. Lows. Then the walkoff. Just amazing. Really classy call from the Braves broadcaster, neither team deserved to lose. But I’m glad my Mariners pulled it out! Can’t wait for Seattle playoff baseball! GOMS!
the braves are a much better team you guys only one because there closure has been struggling
struggling or not, M's still had to swing the bat.. and those pitches they hit were decent, not out over the middle of the plate.
also, Jansen's not to blame for braves bats being quiet for 8 innings. and I have to point out Castillo and Sewald have been struggling too, braves were even lucky to score what they did off our bullpen, which has been lights out, as well as our SPs.

Mariners Fans have been waiting 21 years for a team like this.....and they are young. Hopefully leadership wont do what they always do and trade away the pieces at the end of the year. We have Rodriguez locked up but we need to keep them all for a few years and see it through!
They also have Ray for a few years as well. They have club control over Gilbert and Kirby through 2028. They are likely to extend Luis Castillo in the off-season. They have JP Crawford for a few years under contract. They have arbitration eligibility and club control over their catcher. That leaves Ty France, who I believe has two more arbitration years left. I would lock him down while doing Castillo. Then maybe Suarez, who has been far better defensively than we expected, and has hit well on top of that. They have three on Frazier and and the same, I believe, on Winker. The only question remains, do you lock down Haniger for a couple years as your primary left fielder and let Trammell and Haggerty man right while Winker becomes your DH? Or do you go for Haggerty and Trammell as your corner outfielders and have Mitch traded away, and rely on Kelenic as your fourth outfuelder?Maybe you chase a lefty starter next year and trade off Marco, as the rest of the rotation is solid and young. You also need a quality left hander in the high leverage back end of your bullpen. Just a few random thoughts.

Last off-season with the Ray contract and Julio makes me think ownership is gonna give it a real shot. Add In the Castillo trade and it clear everybody is on the same page for once.

I'm really surprised by how cheap Atlanta signed Harris for. Eight years, $72M with club options for two more seasons. That seems like an incredible bargain for a guy who seems like he's going to be an absolute superstar.

This has got to be one of the toughest sundays ever. Falcons choke a lead, and braves complete the greatest comeback of the year only for jansen to blow it. Why can’t iglesias close out the game, seriously this loss hurts so bad. We are back 1.5 to the mets this is getting bad. Braves need a sweep against the giants. Braves have to bounce back

@@soulknife20 There are other relief pitchers available. We need to get rid of this idea of having a closer and all other relief pitchers not in the picture. Jansen has lost it. Putting him in is suicide.

This is my pick for WS. The AL is wide open and the M's have a balanced squad. They'll finish strong and ride the wave.
The Mets need to win their division and a healthy Max for this to happen; because the NL is crazy tough with 4 of the top 5 contenders.

munoz will eventually be the closer when he gets more experience i feel. swanson is very good at his 7th and 8th inning role. we definitely need to take diego castillo out the relief lineup
