Surprised to not see the Stone Cold Stunner mentioned. People sell it like they're dying- The Rock's oversells are particularly memorable- but the most actual damage it ever did was to Steve Austin's tailbone.
@@BryRobinson to caveat, no move is 100% safe mate. Baron Corbin's move does not look that devastating, just saying, how it made this list is crazy to me, The Canadian Destroyer looks much worse and is overused, but it does fit this list more
I’m training to be a wrestler, the reason why the curb stomp is so safe, is that while it might look like the head of the opponent is being driven to the mat, in reality, the foot is just a signal to the opponent that it’s gonna be happening soon. The opponent is actually just doing a very basic front bump, he’s doing most of the work actually.
Everytime he shows up on these lists, I honestly wanna just appreciate how Rhodes has been able to make Golddust's gimmick work for almost 3 decades. The only real change has been to shift from "gay panic"-the-character to "is just a really weird dude, with only a sprinkle of gay panic". Even Undertaker did more-dramatic shifts in style/character than that.
I'm pretty sure the Usos and Solo use the hi attack as a tribute to Umaga who is the first wrestler I personally know to have used such a move. I can imagine he wasn't really the first one, though
I thought they only banned the name "curb" stomp, not the move. That's why they started just calling it The Stomp. Also, doesn't look like it hurts at all.
I remember a few times on commentary Jim Ross said that Stone Cold Steve Austin had used the Stone Cold Stunner to break men's jaws. Did he ever actually break anybody's jaw using the Stunner?
@@matthewescamilla4784 right it is what made me start paying attention to the x division now most high flyers will just randomly do it like it's the fucking victory roll or hurricarana.
I hate it because it looks so incredibly fake. There is co-operating to make a move look better (code breaker) There is co-operating to make a move safe (curb stomp) But when you need to co-operate to even make the move possible (ie, do a back flip after the do-er performs a front flip) it breaks the illusion of a match being a fight. I'd be happy to never see it again, along with the 5 or 6 or 7 or 8 person suplex-line & the Tower Of Doom. They're all so contrived.
The table spot feels like it needs an asterisk. You still want a functionally-gimmicked table for a good table spot. Pulling a random 6-foot table out is not going to get you anywhere but hurt.
Favorite finisher the rko or any version or a cutter like the stunner because its out of nowhere and it's easy to set up unlike the rock bottom or the pedigree
Baron Corbin's End of Days is a pretty good move. but it is nothing like Roman Reigns or Edge's Spear!! another good finishing move would be Randy Orton's RKO or Stone Cold Steve Austin's Stone Cold Stunner.
The Curb Stomp is one of the worst finishers out there. Like Seth uses his feet to somehow absorb the back of his opponents head to slam him down when the opponent could just... catch Rollins' foot or move out of the way?
The stomp is one of the worst finishers in wrestling, and it shouldn't be on this list because it doesn't look like it hurts at all. Maybe, it's because I've actually seen people get their heads stomped into the ground, but when Rollins does it it just looks fake. I know I can't be the only one that thinks dude lightly stepping on his opponents head looks dumb. It does look horrible but in the sense that it definitely should not be a finish and it makes his opponents look weak for not kicking out of it 😆 🗑 👎
@@gejamugamlatsoomanam7716 I know, but I remember a report came out that he had a concussion related lesion on his brain after so many Diving Headbutts. End of days = Corbin giving himself a rock bottom.
so you just recapped maven's video?
Yeah they did! I watch Maven's channel and they pretty much just ripped it off. Not cool!
We need a video of Simon Miller taking all of these and getting up like noting happened to him.

None are “totaly safe”. You can get hurt doing ANY move in wrestling. You just need to be trained right.
Hidden Blade is definitely up there as a favourite.
He asked what was your favorite finisher, he didn't say anything about it being safe, just in general.

Ummmm the reason the curb stop was banned is because the origin of it is really violent, terrible and involves dental work.
Love the videos!
Still a dumb reason to ban it
Best one was in American History X
My best friend in secondary school gave me a shoot RKO (outta nowhere) and, lemme just say, i saw the light briefly.
I actually wouldn't mind taking a Hip Attack from Toni Storm, but I draw the line at any Samoan.

2:07 I once saw someone say that Baron Corbin's finisher is "giving himself a Rock Bottom." That made me laugh
End of Days, without question. The name and the impact. I love it! My silver medal is the backstabber.
Baron Corbin's move does not look that devastating, just saying, how it made this list is crazy to me, The Canadian Destroyer looks much worse and is overused, but it does fit this list more
Lmao the Canadian destroyer is a transitional move not a finisher
At least add Mavens channel in the description, you quoted him multiple times.

The sound of the Conchairto is probably the worst part.
Best curb stomp? Delivered by Edward Norton
Riptide, The Curb Stomp, Cross Rhodes, RKO and Spear is my favorite finishing moves.
2:27 Sam's corner turnbuckle brain buster, I even made it my special on 2k 😂😂
I think I never really appreciated any finishers as much as I did the Pop-up Powerbomb, the PTO, and the Bomaye
The RKO is honestly one of the best finishers ever. It’s always my favorite.
Surprised the Styles Clash or Pile Driver/Tombstone didn’t make the list both look insane but extremely protected if done correctly.

Just hyped that Maven is getting more traction. Hope he gets another chance in WWE. He would be an awesome commentator.

The Concharito still looks like it will hurt, mostly the ears if one of the chairs hits the other... Must be loud...
My favourite finisher currently is Jacob Fatu/Tiffany Strattons jump up moonsault.
Crossrhodes is amazing, especially when other person sells it well with landing on head
randy orton adopted the jumping cutter after coming back from a severe shoulder/chest injury
I look at the sharpshooter and think that it would be really nice to give my back a nice stretch out
Two of my favorite finishing moves is the F-5 by Brock Lesnar and Stunner by Stone Cold Steve Austin
Wouldn’t the recoil be a modified code breaker? It is slightly different than the way Jericho and everyone else who copied him does it.
I think it would depend on the ones giving and taking the moves and correct exicution and timing
Canadian destroyer pops me every time
Ever since seeing Petey Williams doing it in TNA years ago
@@ratedrva757true. It’s too over used now but back in the early days of TNA it looked devastating and amazing at the same time. So smooth!

The Clothesline: unless JBL or Stan Hansen delivered it.

That Seth-Solo match is still going to this day

Shattered Dreams just isnt right at all. It looked like it hurt worse in Warzone lol
I low key don't like the 619 and splash combo idk why it looks too weak as a finisher
Curb stomp is about as dumb as the "superman punch"
Giving it up for the 619! Rey Mysterio is my fave!!!
Seth doesn't stomp them into the ground anymore. It's basically a Drive-by Stomp because he slides off their heads.
Best Finisher: Vince pooping on a woman's chest while making another guy watch it and participate.
