The 5.7L Hemi is what JGCs should come with standard. The 3.6L is overburdened by 5200lbs of mass. Get a V6 Jeep with a couple options and you're in the mid-high 50s...with the fleet v6 making less than 300hp. Gas mileage isn't close to what the sticker says either unless you don't over 60mph with the cruise on for an hour.
I noticed that too but it's definitely the V8. The shift points are about right for the redline of the 5.7. And the 3.6 shifts all the way up to 6500 rpm.
Don't you have uconnect apps 0-100 timer ? In how Manny exact seconds did it do the 0-60 mi, I have a jeep grand Cherokee summit 2014 and the top speed it can reach to is 243km/h
seriously...on top of that no birds eye view camera...just a back up camera? wtf even $15k Nissans have a birds eye view camera...they gotta step it up
They did innovative.. In 2022 they now have a new body style and interior, don't like that they didn't change in 7 years plus? Then don't buy one simple as that
This car has same acceleration like my altima, but it gives the impression (sound/transmission) of a much faster car, even though 0-60 mid 7's, and 100 at 19.
how is the gas milage what do you average and do you think the 3.6 liter V6 will get any better gas mileage I'm gonna be buying a summit soon I'm debating between the Hemi or the V6 I drove both the Hemi differently has more power but the 3.6 liter V6 ain't bad it said I averaged 25.3 mpg then I drove the Hemi it said I averaged 19.6 mpg so I'm wondering do you think it's worth the extra mpg or should I get the hemi
With my wife driving she averages between 18 and 19 mpg in the summer and 17.5 to 18 in the winter, long drives up north we get around 21. With me behind the wheel its around 17.5 no matter the season. We also test drove the V6 and V8 and the power difference is what made me decide to go with the V8. If I could go back I would of probably went with the V6, better gas mileage and we have no real reason to have the V8 other than I like the sound and power. oh and its cheaper if you plan on buying new.
Did you ever end up buying the summit? Because I’m considering a used one. Any suggestions for which year, how much I should pay, and how many miles should I get on a used summit max. I appreciate your help it’s just because the reliability is iffy on three cars. Thank you again!
@@keyurp901 I bought a 2018 Jeep Grand Cherokee Summit for $34,599 fully loaded with 31,689 miles on it with black exterior with brown interior it has all the options Harmen Karden speakers adaptive cruise control rear entertainment system and more. It's got the V6 which is surprising not slow it's not a hemi but it's good enough for me I average 20 city and 34 highway this thing is great on gas. And I love how sound proof the summit interior is and I love the Harmen Karden sound system it's unbelievable if you were to get a Jeep Grand Cherokee Summit I recommend 2016-2019 and make sure you get one that is well equipped and make sure you really look around and get one that you like.
@@keyurp901 I was also looking at the 2018 Subaru outback 3.6r limited and what made me pick the Jeep over the Subaru was one the Jeep V6 had way more power. And the 8 speed transmission in the Jeep was way better then the CVT transmission in the Subaru and the Uconnect system was way better then Subaru's system.
There is an electronic restrictor or something like that ( I know people will rag on me for not knowing my stuff). It prevents my 2014 Jeep Limited 5.7lt Hemi from going above a certain RPM. I was in my garage and floored it. It got to a point where the RPM's would not go any higher and just idled there. I took it out on the road and just a bit above 115mph the restrictor (I know, I don't know what it is called) kicked in and I couldn't go faster. I think it is faster from 60-115 than 0-60.
Old comment I know but I’ve owned both. The HO is slightly more fun (and easier) to drive. The 5.7 though...after the 4.7 HO gets to 45-50, the 5.7 starts reeling it in. The HO is fast, but almost 20 yrs...that’s a lot of time for Jeep to step up. Just my .02
In sport mode the trans does the shifting, i should of used the paddles and would of been in full control of the shift points and could of taken it to redline. The full tank of gas didn’t do me any favors im sure
tksemipro I think unless i put it in manual mode with the paddle shifters it’s going to shift whenever it wants, sport mode changes the shift points to be more aggressive but I don’t think it will take me all the way to redline.
TERMCOBRA Guys, taking the 5.7 Hemi to redline won't necessarily make you go any faster, the shifts are programmed to keep the engine in the powerband, the 5.7 in these Grand Cherokees make 360hp at a relatively low 5150rpm so taking it up to 6000rpms will not do you any good.
Baha T I cannot agree with you that shifting at 5k would get the same/better results as shifting at 6500 r's. Cant say i have ever won a race by shifting early

Pretty quick
I wonder why some cars sound good inside but not out
pumped in audio
Because your hearing the intake not exhaust.
Anybody else notice that it has the tach from the 3.6?
Yes this is a V6 not the V8 it's not correctly labelled. Also the sound is nothing like a Hemi. I have the V8 2019 Trailhawk this is a V6.
This is the v8, if you put it to your ears your will hear it and the 2014-15 shifted earlier at 5500 vs 17-19
Hemi for sure
It's a v8.
