I'm turning 26 this February and I completely understand the stress and pressure to have everything sorted out. Like for some reason over 25 means you are an adult-adult. Wishing us both grace through navigating older 20s and coming out of a pandemic that no one knows how to fully recover from.
I'm in my 30s and definitely don't have everything together. Don't feel like a "adult" either

I had it all planned out, how this year was gonna be, then right on the first week everything went south. Quit my job, got a new one... a bunch of other things happened etc just dont fight it, give yourself permission to feel what you are feeling, accept it and then move on. We will all be fine😊
I'm ngl I prefer the channels I have that have super chill vlogs. It's much more relatable considering thats what most people's day to days are like, hope you can find the peace to make your vlog channel a nice chill space ♥️

I loved this video and really related to feeling sad about Christmas and the new year. I always feel pressure around new year and don’t massively enjoy it, this year I tried to just focus on what is good right now and not what is to come.

I too thought Christmas went soooo fast this time around, and I kinda didn't get to enjoy it as much. I had so Christmassy feeling like in early November but didn't want to start to celebrate so early or buy gifts and then all of a sudden it was under one week till Christmas Eve (in Finland we exchange gifts on Christmas Eve), and I didn't have any gifts yet 🙄 and then whole Christmas went in a blink of an eye 😒

Also, I struggle with depression, there doesn't have to be a reason to feel low, it just happens. There's so much pressure with this new year, new you nonsense, you're amazing as you are, you are not an iPhone who needs upgraded every year. You're doing great, keep being you.
Also, I'm 39 and still don't have my shit together. Neither do any of my friends. I don't think I ever will, but I'm gonna do my best to be my best self.
Some of us love vlogs like this, you really don't need to be having big huge adventures to vlog x With Christmas it changes a lot of times. When my kids were young it was all exciting again, then again when teens, again now adults and the grandkids are tots (I'm 38 we all started young lol) every year when it's different it feels like it hasn't been Christmas but then the next Christmas you build on the one you had and make a new super one. It does seem to go so much quicker now though. Anyway enough rambling, my one piece of advice with the getting organised now I'm an old wise granny, is don't even sweat it, it really doesn't matter, pop important things on your phone calendar and count the wins. Honestly I wish I knew in my 20's how much stuff I would no longer care about or would seem important just a few years later. Wasted so much time worrying about stupid stuff and trying to improve myself when actually I was already a pretty good me lol. Would love a goody box too x

Hey Soph! Thank you for your honesty! I had a nauxious feeling the whole Christmas day. Also, it was the first Christmas for our newborn son, and my husband's expectations were incredibly high that everything had to be perfect. That was too much pressure... we had a big fight and I decided that this year we will celebrate with our family.
So getting older can also be chance by creating new traditions how your "perfect" Christmas should be.
I definitely feel the same about Christmas not feeling how it was when you were a kid, but I think the next stage will be when you start your own family and get to enjoy it all over again! Also that makeup selection looks amazing! Would love to build up my very basic range of makeup x
I absolutely love your vlogs! I'm so sorry this year has started off on the rough side, but it's totally understandable. Adulthood changes your views on so many things and can make you wonder why was I in such a rush to get here?! I'm sure you will find your balance and things will level out. I totally get the overwhelming feeling atm! I’m turning 25 this year and I think a lot of it comes from the missed years cos of covid! I’ve been taking passionflower tablets to help with my anxiety and sleeping and feel like they’ve been a huge help, they’re in Holland and Barrett. Hope you’re feeling better soph, I will literally watch anything you vlog sometimes it’s just comforting to have on even if you’re not doing anything exciting 🫶🏻

As an Aussie, some destinations I recommend depending on time of year would be the Southern Lights in Tasmania, Field of Lights at Uluru, Cable Beach in Broome and Lake Argyle in Kununurra 💗🇦🇺
Okay as someone who used to be a complete mess and managed to sort her life out relatively well, I HAVE TIPS. Obviously I can't guarantee it'll work, but these have really helped me and I hope they can help you too
I had a really bad end to 2022… my Gma who I was the caretaker of died Nov 15, my mom (only 65) had to be put in a memory care nursing home 3 days later, and now my uncle is hurriedly trying to kick my husband and I out of our house that my Gma bought so we’d be close by, not giving us anytime to find somewhere to go. All that to say, Soph you are a welcome distraction for both the hubs and I.
And if you feel like sending me a box makeup is my outlet and it would be appreciated… but I’m in the US.

I totally know what you mean about Christmas! I’m super sentimental and have always loved Christmas. Even though things will always change, what helps me is
1) make the whole Christmas period, and Christmas Eve especially, magical and bring back childhood memories. Whether that’s watching certain movies, arranging presents under the tree, baking with Christmas music blaring! (for example I always go to the same church on Christmas Eve I used to go to as a child where I have memories looking out the window at the sky trying to spot Santa!)
2) Start making your own traditions! Big or small. (Eg we always make a ham dinner for just us two Christmas week, and look forward to that. We also arrange a night to invite both our parents over for drinks)
3) For people you don’t get to see Christmas Day, invite them round for a cosy hot choc night.
4) Decorating! Embrace being able to decorate your own home, and go all out! There’s never enough fairy lights 😉
Basically make sure you’re surrounded by the magic of Christmas for the whole period. It keeps the enjoyment and takes a lot of the “pressure” off Christmas Day.
I feel you. I can’t believe I’m turning 27 in July. Like what. Where does the time go. I can totally relate on the wanting to do more traveling this year.
I am currently unemployed and feel like now is the perfect time to do some traveling. Your only young once. Might as well make the most of it.
I just need to learn to be ok with the fact that everyone else thinks it’s a waste of my money to travel. That I should be saving all my money for a house.
Not that I’d ever blow all my money. I’m just a big people pleaser and put others above me all the time. Miss out on or not do stuff I’d like because of what they think. Like the traveling.
So this I’m going to try really hard to put all that aside and travel. Because that’s what I really want to do/ feel like what I should be doing right now.
So look. I’m almost 27 and I have nothing figured out lol. And that’s ok

One of the things I love about vlogs is they are just an insight in to what people get up to, doesn’t have to be exciting stuff all the time. It’s nice to just see people being authentic which you always are in any videos you put out. It must be hard trying to keep posting content on all the different social media pages and having 2 RUclips channels as well, so don’t feel too pressured to do it. Would watch your videos anyway 😊
Happy new year Soph! I have found that just doing a little bit of what needs to be done each day really helps and stops me feeling really overwhelmed. Also you are not alone with needing some noise to fall asleep to! I am the same and have been like it for nearly 21 years now, currently mine is history podcasts!!

Been subbed since 2016 and cant believe we're now in 2023 like how 😂😬 Ive had to take mental health leave from work myself so i understand for some reason its super hard to prioritise yourself when it shouldnt be💕 Remember to be kind to yourself and do things that make your day better no matter how small! 💕

Love how real you are, your videos never fail make us giggle.. im 37 in couple of weeks my life is far from together.. diagnosed with ptsd 6yrs ago followed by ME and possible fibromyalgia the pcos spend lot my days homebound in pain.. I rediscovered my love of art through makeup in lockdown can't do it everyday as I'd love to but it makes me happy when I do you and many others inspire me altho doubt myself being old and not to beauty standards so don't feel good enough to make anything from it... really struggling with lil no support emotionally physically financially.. feel like giving up.. keep being you x
I relate so much with you talking about nostalgia, and how one feels afraid and sad when they see time passing by and things change... I go through that stage pretty frequently and it actually makes me feel stuck in life... Like I am not going with the flow... I am turning 25 this Sunday and it's like, I wanna go back, you know? Adulting is hard man. Nobody prepares you for it. Christmas is still my favourite time of the year, but I get you Soph, it is not as exciting sadly 🥲

Adding a second comment because its a separate thought. Don’t be too hard on yourself. I know that’s easier said than done, but now that I’m in my 30s, things are much easier! Also, your “rational” part of your brain only fully finishes developing at 25, so expecting a ton from yourself before that is actually not fair on you. You’re doing great, and progress over perfection always
Ps. Maybe look into a virtual assistant. Just make sure they sign an NDA. Could help a lot!
I feel this a lot soph! I'm 27 this year and have so much stress and pressure on myself for not knowing where i want to be in life. it's so hard not to but going to try harder this year to be kinder to myself, do more things i enjoy, and not stress about timing 🥰

@soph I have a headband earphone thing for bed and i listen to true crime youtube to get me to sleep. I have it quiet enough so it doesn't get me too engaged but loud enough that it stops me thinking and ruminating. It works so well, the joys of ADHD I guess

Anyway, this vlog was great ✨ and its so helpful to know that other people also sometimes has some issues and it's not only for me.. Actually this year I achieved to had a really nice Christmas mood but after Christmas it quickly ended and I was really nostalgic and sad at New years eve. Also at the beginning of the year I'm quite unconscious of myself and feel that I'm not the best now.
But everyone deals with sth and we have to survive, hope You're good now and also hope the best for everyone who's not feeling great right now ✨❤️

100% understand how you felt about missing the way Christmas used to feel like as a kid. This year was the first Christmas in our first home for me and my boyfriend and it was just so strange, exciting but weird. After spending most of last year renovating the house, one thing I wanted was to have a Christmas up. It made me realise how fast the year goes and how fast life can go by. Really didn't want to take my tree down either, got a bit emotional doing it. Super sad I know, down side to being an emotional person I cry at anything 😂 Love this chatty style vlogs btw, super chill it's like your having a little chat with us. It's nice ❤️

I think it's so so normal for us to feel down after Christmas and into the new year, we have all that build up and the expectation to be excited and happy 100% of the time and then January comes and boom! I realised the same thing about Christmas this year too, I’m also 25. Maybe that’s the age cap for Christmas? 😂 but I also realised that once I have kids it’ll feel magical again so hopefully in a year or two I’ll get that spirit back. I’m also the exact same way with being disorganised, and over the last year or two I’ve come to realise that it’s likely ADHD so I’m in the process of getting diagnosed with that. Not trying to be a RUclips doctor but maybe that’s worth looking in to?

I was in a horrible car accident October 2021 and it has left me disabled and unable to work so all of my makeup products expired and I can't afford to buy any new products.
