Personally I think the best approach is a full album playthrough top to bottom, there's a huge musical journey that shifts tonalities, genres, light and dark to reach this song that reflects back on the start of the album.
Their drummer II plays the hip hop parts too, he uses drum pads. You can tell it's being played rather than programmed because he adds little fills here and there

I ended up going from the very beginning of the discography after I dived down the rabbit hole. I've had to pull over to ugly cry because of them. They added something to my life. Like an emotional head pat with an " its ok to feel"

II won the heavy metal drummer of the year. which is fan voted but the hosts said both Pau and II had some of the biggest fan responses and wins theyve seen. For me Sleep Token is one of those bands I have to be in the right mindset to listen to, somedays it just doesnt do it for me. but they are a great band no doubt. cool reaction and video gj and cioa for now
I recommend you follow Chokehold, Ascensionism and Granite from the new album, then look for Alkaline, the love you want, The Offerinf, Higher, Gods, Sugar, Blood Sport, I think that covers the ranges in which the band moves. Saw them live last year. Have tickets for STL this year. The only band that has made me "feel" and "experience" the music on almost every song.
