I don't think the superintendent is a "smart" A.I like Cortana and Roland. "Smart" a.i. are created from a human brain. Roland, Serena, Cortana were all once a real person who donated their brains to become a.i. after death (except for Cortana, who Halsey created from a flash clone of herself.) The superintendent I think is just coding and software, a "dumb" a.i. Still a smart Artificial Intelligence but still limited in capacity, and not as powerful as "smart" a.i.

Are you implying that the domain was the forbidden fruit, thus corrupting Cortana like the apple did with Eve? I’m not sure that was really the original intention behind her design. Bungie was very deliberate with a lot of the things they did but I don’t think she’s really meant to emulate anything in particular. I could be wrong though. I’m not super familiar with that particular biblical story, so maybe there are more comparisons to draw that I’m just not aware of.

I'd say it's fairly strong speculation, as when the HAVOK Tactical Nuke went off within Mantle's Approach and Cortana used her last bit of the hard-light energy to shield Chief, she was "transferred" to Genesis which in itself is the first book of the Bible which translates into "the beginning". Now while the Domain does cure rampancy, the logic plague has been within Cortana already and may even have been dormant as we don't know how the Domain would react to it exactly, I assume it can cure it though. It does have parallels to Eve biting the apple and strong Biblical tones, though this is as always speculation.

To me it's the only way to make sense of what they did with the Forerunners when you think of the Librarian and the Didact as "God" and "Satan" allegories. IMO they went too crazy with it and it wasn't something Halo needed.

I don’t think there are any AI in the Cole Protocol. The only AI characters in Contact Harvest are Mack/Loki and Sif. Both of which appear as humans. The falling snow one is Deep Winter. He appears as “an old man with a snowy cape, often accompanied by holographic ice and snow”. Not sure about the floating eyeballs though
Im guessing rudimentary ai like dot, the superintendent and the ai’s in the halo infinite multiplayer dont choose an appearance cause theyre on a lower level than ai like cortana and roland
