Agreed, this is the one good thing Olivia has done. Also, Mason has such an unhealthy obsession with Ella that it's easy to see how Eric took advantage. He needs to accept that Ella sees him as a friend and there's nothing wrong with that. His constant attempts to destroy her relationship with Charlie are only going to hurt him in the end, as she will still love Charlie and there won't even be a friendship left with Mason.

Charlie deserves more respect. He always protects Ella's honor (he even went to jail for her!) and now he rightfully gave Mason the confrontation he deserves. In this love triangle, it's obvious that Mason is the third wheel and Charlie and Ella are soulmates. Mason shouldn't be getting nasty just because he's friend-zoned. There are plenty of other girls out there to obsess over, so why does he do it over Ella when she's in love with Charlie?

Charlie is Ella's boyfriend, but yeah I agree. And they have so much history together (their miscarriage and the whole mess with Jordan) that Charlie is naturally protective of her.
I like Mason usually, but his obsession with Ella is out of control.

Imo this is the only good storyline on the show, it's the only one that echoes the creativity of past storylines of Hollyoaks golden era. The rest are all unrealistic, predictable and boring like the whole Silas vs The Mcqueens plot
