Garlics were my first veggie to plant! Like you said they won’t disappoint first time gardeners. So easy and resistant to the cold winter here in Canada.
I sauté them as well. I would feed the hard part to the pigs too if I have them 😀. I use them when making soup broth. They bring the broth to a different level 😋. Thanks for the video !

Love garlic scapes! I have made pesto from them, sautéed them, and this year I am going to dry some and make powder from them.

The only thing I’ve ever used my scapes for is in my breakfast Omlet😋
But pesto sounds good too. I’ll have to give that a try. Good luck this weekend hopefully the weather holds out for your ladies night out.☺️

I harvested yesterday and we grilled some tonight. I’m making some compound butter using them and also our chives. I use a cookie scoop and freeze them individually and then add to a large bag. They are great to top a steak, baked potato, bread, veggies. I’m going to try and pickle a few and ferment a few.

Garlic is super easy to grow. In my area I harvest garlic late May. This allows plenty of time to plant something in that space.
