Garlics were my first veggie to plant! Like you said they won’t disappoint first time gardeners. So easy and resistant to the cold winter here in Canada. I sauté them as well. I would feed the hard part to the pigs too if I have them 😀. I use them when making soup broth. They bring the broth to a different level 😋. Thanks for the video !
The only thing I’ve ever used my scapes for is in my breakfast Omlet😋 But pesto sounds good too. I’ll have to give that a try. Good luck this weekend hopefully the weather holds out for your ladies night out.☺️
Thankful for your explanation! I’ve seen these at the farmers market, yet really did not know how to use them! They sound yummy!! Have a blast on Saturday!!
I harvested yesterday and we grilled some tonight. I’m making some compound butter using them and also our chives. I use a cookie scoop and freeze them individually and then add to a large bag. They are great to top a steak, baked potato, bread, veggies. I’m going to try and pickle a few and ferment a few.
Oh my gosh I missed this video. Beautiful baby💜. Take good care of yourself, don’t over do🙏🏻Prayers for you and your family.
Thank you!
This is AWESOME, I thought we were too far south in Central Arkansas to grow hardneck garlic ... WOOOOHOOO .. new food 😁
Had them sauted first time last year, heavenly! Can't wait for them but I'm about a month behind in NY... Happy Lady's event
Thank you. Learned something new from your video.
So glad to hear!

Love garlic scapes! I have made pesto from them, sautéed them, and this year I am going to dry some and make powder from them.
I’m going to try pesto this week!
We harvest and use them in stir frys. I seen a recipes on tiktok where they fermented them.
Sounds so good! I’ll have to try fermenting!

Garlic is super easy to grow. In my area I harvest garlic late May. This allows plenty of time to plant something in that space.
