He didn't win but he ran well. This year was fairly wide open so it's kind of hard for them to predict the top three finishers but based on this press conference they did correctly select two of the three top three finishers which isn't bad.
Nico Young does indeed have a good chance of winning tomorrow! Remember, NAU plays the team game. Nico is there for a 4th championship, not an individual award.
This is crazy, put some Ok St guys on there. There's not a lot of data points to really extrapolate who will win as some stars could be tapering and there are still not a lot of rates
But these are the guys with the biggest accolades this yeae, to be fair. 10k champ, top returner from last year, and Nuttycombe winner. Not saying nobody else deserves to be there, but these guys are the biggest names right now.
@@BishopIsJustHappyToBeHere habtom Samuel has beaten two of them, drew Bosley holds the collegiate record, there’s an empty chair there, I don’t see why they don’t use it
BYU: The Message Board freaks out about guys who take a 2-year gap with no running. Harvard: Nobody has a problem with taking a gap year to train at high altitude without school or other distractions.
@@Yo-nb3dg it's also possible that some of the other guys are recent immigrants and don't speak English well. I have no idea, i'd be interested to know
Agree but hey its a “show” not an awards ceremony- imagine trying to interview 10 or 20 guys at once, even then some would be left off. And not all runners want to be interviewed and ill bet of these 3 probably 1 or more were reluctant.
Class acts, very bright young men, good luck to all!
It's crazy that when Habtum wins tomorrow he wouldn't have even been in the pre-race conference.
100% agree
I have the same prediction he is a two time U20 champion.
I would not be surprised if someone else won. However, on paper I also think Habtum is most likely

Whoops!

NAU is a monster.

Big bro to Alex and Leo on Stanford. Would have been nice to see them greet each other.

True 😂
kind of insulting, clearly more than 3 contenders, they only put 3 guys up there
If they put every “contender” up there most would not get asked any questions and would take away from the big names like Kai and Nico

Parker running 30 miles a week? Crazy I think that is the future workout in the future, more X training😊
You’d think NCAA would have a more professional interview setup. Good luck to all these awesome runners 😀🏃♂️🏃♂️
yeah it was pretty bush league
I don’t think any of those 3 will win.
What do you think now?
@@richardthegingerbo909 I thought it was a good race. I just thought a freshman would win.
@@stanogrady893Ah, I see what you mean. I agree with you, I thought it was a good race too.

None of those guys win!!
