Hola. I watched the video last night, but I'm taking a second look tonight (Sat.) so I can make a few comments. Wow, this is a beautiful town! This is definitely 'my kind of town'. 😀 From the opening shot on the beach, I was thinking - this place really reminds me of Santa Barbara, CA. (I know, I've said that about a few other places in Spain before 😄) The palm trees along the beach and the walkway (paseo, i think) ... perfection. And what a great time of day to do the tour. The late afternoon sun and shadows really added to the beauty. At 6:00, ah, what a tranquil and beautiful spot! The sound of the ocean is so relaxing and peaceful. At 8:48 you got a great shot of the palm trees, and noticed the town had their Christmas tree up too. 😀 La Casas de Colores! Quaint, picturesque, iconic and charming. Loved it. Also, at 15:30, I really love how big and wide open the walkway is by the beach. And 16:09 is once again, perfection. The beach just looks so beautiful at that time of day with the low sun and shadows. At 17:00, was that guy doing some kinds of exercise there on the beach. It looked liked some type of exercise machine or something. At 19:00, the beach gets even better. 😀
Like 45, Awesome footage capturing the beautiful scenery that really encourage more viewers to keep on watching, thanks for sharing and bringing us to this wonderful relaxing place and stay safe always.
It is my pleasure to share it. I'm glad you liked my tour of Villajoyosa. Thank you very much for your kind comment and your visit. I hope you continue enjoying more tours. Welcome to my channel!
Like 13 👍 Greetings from your friends in Naples, Florida. A very colorful town, indeed! What a beautiful day there. We love beaches and that is a very nice beach for sure. Great walk. Thank you for sharing with us, have a nice weekend 💯
Great walk to this colorful tow in Costa Blanca. Relaxing and peaceful stop at the beach. Lk24 greetings from your friend in Las Vegas :) Happy new year!
Thank you very much for your comment. I'm glad you liked it. Regarding the best month to visit Alicante, it depends on what you are looking for. If you are interested in enjoying the beach, the best months are June, July and August but obviously they are also the most crowded with tourists. Both May and September are good months to enjoy the beach and the sun and are calmer. If you are not so interested in the beach, those months are also perfect for visiting the towns on the Costa Blanca. I hope this is useful to you. Greetings!

I was writing comments as I was viewing the video, and I accidentally hit the submit button, so I'll just continue here.😄At 22:40, the shadows of those palm trees on the colorful buildings 👍. I'm not sure what the initials JFC mean with that graffiti, but it sometimes is short for Jesus F... Christ in English. 🥴Well, at least that's what I first thought when I saw it. lol. It also reminded me of some of the ugly graffiti I saw in Boston earlier this week. Ah well, onto the more beautiful stuff. Walking through the buildings at 27:00 mark, I was wondering if any movie scenes were ever filmed in here. This place seems like a cinematographer's dream - great atmosphere. At 29:30, I thought those were lemon trees, but I think they might be just yellow flowers. The shot of the church next to the colored houses is very beautiful, and very Spanish. 😀 And what a nice little spot for the ayuntamiento. I never would have guessed that was the town hall! The bridge looks quite old, was that maybe from Roman times? Well, I enjoyed watching this again tonight, and the beach makes me dream about being on a warm, sunny beach in the Caribbean, because we have a snowstorm heading our way tonight and tomorrow. Twelve inches, but at least I don't have to shovel it anymore. 😄 Great video, take care.
Hola! I had the impression that you would like Villajoyosa, so I'm glad I was right 😉 I think we have a similar taste in this regard, I also like these types of towns and I enjoy spending the day in places like that, especially when the temperature is pleasant like the day I filmed. This time of day is my favorite to film the tours, whenever I have the opportunity I do it at this time. I really like the sunlight at sunset, the tone it gives to the buildings (and the sand on the beach) and the contrast it makes with the shadows. I see I'm not the only one 😄 I filmed the tour at the beginning of December and I imagine they were beginning to put up the Christmas decorations. I found the contrast between the Christmas tree and the palm trees curious. I was also surprised by the wide walkway next to the beach when I saw it, and since it wasn't very busy that day it was perfect for walking. I think it would be a perfect place to put up stands during Christmas. You are right, those colored houses are very picturesque and the history behind them is very curious. From what I have read about it, it seems that the fishermen painted them different colors so that they could distinguish them from a distance when they arrived in their boats. In addition, the fishermen's relatives used hanging sheets to warn about situations that had occurred in the home. If the fishermen saw a black sheet hanging on the balcony, it means that someone in the family had died. That guy you say, I think he was preparing to perform tightrope walking on the sand. The views from the breakwater are very good, although when I was filming I noticed a sign that warned that it was forbidden to walk along the breakwater, although I don't know if it referred to the entire breakwater or just the part of rocks that was covered by the sea at that moment... In any case I did not get any penalty 😆 Regarding the projection of the shadow of the palm trees on the buildings, I had not realized it until you mentioned it and you are right, it is beautiful. As I have said on more than one occasion, you are very insightful 😉👍 And regarding the initials of the graffiti, perhaps you are right, although I would bet that they are simply the initials of the author of the graffiti. Keep in mind that we Spaniards have two surnames (one from the father's side and one from the mother's side). Hopefully the author reads this comment and can clear up our doubts 😆 You're right, old town is very photogenic with all those narrow streets surrounded by colorful buildings and as you say, no one would expect to find the town hall in that somewhat hidden place. That bridge is much more modern than you think, although it is called Puente Antiguo (that is, old bridge) it was built in 1856, I also thought that it would be at least 300 or 400 years old. I suppose it has that name because not far away there is another bridge built more recently. I hope that snow storm isn't too harsh. It's not that intensely cold here, although we are also having low temperatures, so I will also have to dream of those warm Caribbean beaches to cope it better 😆 Thank you for your visit as always. Nos vemos. Take care

@@WalkingSpain Thanks for the detailed answer. I'll definitely come!
Why film in cinemascope (16x9)....???
It's just a personal preference, I like this aspect ratio of the image, I think it gives it a more cinematic look

@@WalkingSpain very interesting story on why the fishermen painted their houses different colors. 👍 Also, the storm has passed. We all survived. 😁
