Charlie has to do so much in this role. He has to train and focus on being blind, put on a fake accent and stay in character all at the same time. Plus the physical aspects he has to go through. He truly doesn't get enough credit.

I find it interesting how when introducing themselves in the beginning, Cox and Bernthal refer to their characters by their real names, not superhero names. That tells me that the showrunners are really focusing on these characters as people, that their actual names are Matt and Frank, and 'Daredevil' and 'Punisher' are just aliases. Just that little thing stood out to me, it probably wasn't even intentional on anybody's part but it tells me everyone is taking this seriously and the actors really know their characters.
+Nicholas Zambuto I just saw an interview earlier today and Charlie was telling of a prank he pulled on Jon... He said he scribbled out "Frank Castle" from Jon's door and wrote "The Punisher" on it because Jon hated being called Punisher on set... So, yep, you're absolutely right, and I love it! :D

It's so hard to believe Jon Bernthal is 39. I'm not saying 39 is old by any means but he looks even way younger than that!
Charlie’s practicing for this role really shows in how he uses his eyes in everyday ways (ie: eye contact, moving around) he reaches for things a lot now (during a convention I was at he would reach for chairs and tables) and it’s very staggering to remember that he’s not actually blind
This is such an old comment, but….wait, normally-sighted people don’t reach for tables and chairs when they come up to them? It’s such a small detail I can’t say I’ve noticed if it’s true or not.
I love how Jon refers to the Punisher by his real name. Really demonstrated his commitment to the character in a subtle way.
This is the one show where i can say with 100% honesty that I adore every member of the cast to a stannable level

+Christian Perez to both of you, when interviewers ask these random questions and they don't have enough time to answer or they don't know how to answer exactly but still have to, they have to think and speak quick so most answers are made up by improvising really fast while already speaking.

I watched both season 1 and season 2, the performances of these guys is so brilliant. Foggy is absolute outstanding also in season 2, and Karen too. Frank Castle is the real good news of this season, i didn't like Jon very much as Shane (walking dead) but in the role of Punisher is very awesome.
I love Daredevil so much and it is the best show on Netflix! :) Jon Bernthal was so awesome as The Punisher and Charlie Cox is awesome as well Daredevil :)
Hats off to the casting dept. of Marvel for Daredevil! Couldn't ask for better actors to fill these roles.
In season 1 for me the finest performance is Vondie Curtis-Hall doing Ben Urich, infinite class. His death leaves a very painfull emptiness.

You can tell Jon Bernthal is trying to stay in character xD He must be shooting the Punisher at the time - he talked about staying in character with Jimmy Kimmel for the time when he's shooting. He's so different here than all his other interviews. Even his look his Frank Castle's here.

I read an interview were he talked about physical training for the role and how he isn't going to stop training when filming finished because it would be too hard to get back into it so, he definitely kept the training up.

@@kashishsingh3086 nah, i think that they wanted to make an interesting thing between matt and elektra and matt and karen, elektra makes matt become the darkest part of himself, Karen is the exact opposite, they knew they don't work together that's why they broke up after like 3 or 4 episodes, they also wanted to make Clair with luke cage, but my problem is that Claire and Matt fit so well together, they could've made luke cage single or with misty, i wanted clair and matt to be together again
