my grandma passed away from cancer almost 2 years ago. i’m making this for my grandpa for christmas, as baby yoda was her favorite thing ever. thank you for this tutorial ❤ i cant wait to give it to him. i turned it into a keychain
Just made this little guy using a smaller hook and yarn, and he’s so tiny and adorable!!! My kids are fighting over him 😂 Thank you for this awesome pattern!
Hahaha I'm so glad it's such a hit in your family!!! ❤️
i love the simple way of the tuturial, it makes it look so simple and easy to understand
Fairly new to amigurumi but this was a joy to make. Used different yarn and a smaller hook and have a perfect key chain. Thanks for such clear instructions.

I made this yesterday for my grandson Thank you for the tutorial. I used a thicker yarn ,and 6mm hook :)
Very well done video!!! I have never heard of the invisible bind off.... Awesome trick!!!
Super handy for creating that smooth finish! Thanks so much, Cindy!
I have just started crocheting and this video was great, I slowed it down and my yoda turned out amazing!

Can't wait to make me one. ♥️
When I first found your channel, I had seen this video and felt super intimidated about attempting to make this. I followed your other videos to make different projects and now I came back to make this. Thank you for being part of my learning journey into crochet

Yesss!!!! Thanks so much I'm glad you liked it!!
Great pattern - Came out super cute! If you're a beginner crocheter, I'd watch some of her other videos to show how to do the stitches and increases/decreases. For someone with experience, it's a great tutorial for the pattern. Thank you for this adorable Yoda!
Great pattern, thank you!😊
Thanks so much! I'm glad you like it
I'm a beginner at crochet, and this project was so much fun! I had to look up a tutorial on each stitch, but I eventually got it! I made these for Christmas presents! Thanks for the great video :)
hahah! perfect they would make great Christmas presents! IMAGINE WITH LITTLE TINY SANTA HATS?!
@@FalseBubbles Oh my word! That would be adorable! Maybe next year...!

This is my second crochet project and because of that it is a little hard to follow, but I managed to make the head already!! :D
Timestamp for myself: 9:44
Congrats!!!!!! I love amigurumi because you can make such cute things with really basic stitches and then bring more people into crocheting!!!
In the process of making my second one jumbo size 😍
Ooooh so fluffy!!!!!
Hi, I really like this pattern found it easy to follow as a beginner and made a super cute baby Yoda! By the way, in the video on the body you do a round of back-loops only but I don't see that round in the written pattern.
Oh thanks so much for mentioning that! I must have forgot to write it in! I'm so glad you found the pattern and enjoyed making it!!
Okay thanks
I know this video was so long ago. but can you give more tips on how to create the body? I struggle to seamlessly transition from blo to sc and it comes out more oval than cylinder.
Could you please help?
I’ a beginner and can’t seem to understand the «from 12 to 18 stitches» transformation, do you single stitch, then double all around? The math doesnt add up:( bcs if u single stitch the first stitch, then double, you would have 23 stitches? Help
hey NattiRx! Thanks so much for your question! You will essentially be doing this: Sc, Inc, Sc, Inc, Sc Inc, Sc, Inc, Sc, Inc, Sc, Inc which will get you to 18 stitches from 12. for the Inc you will just be putting 2 Sc into one stitch!
If I didn't have RUclips. I wouldn't of learned how to bead or Crochet. Or learn how to make these cute Baby Yoda's. Or know new music. Or have my old favorite songs. Or Meditation Music. Lots of us. Use these places for good. Not bad. ♥️♥️♥️
Can't believe I didn't see this comment. RUclips literally taught me how to crochet! Literally one of the most amazing places!
Thank you very much for the tutorial.... I wonder how much would it cost if somebody want to buy it???
Unfortunately I am no longer selling my baby Yodas because of Disney claims on the content! Therefore a tutorial to make your own!
In the last decrease at the body I count 8 rows instead of 9, what am I doing wrong? Edit: Wait.. somehow I managed to work the other way round.. I am so confused oops. I was working on the inside and going counterclockwise somehow. Edit 2: Somehow by turning it inside out it looks like yours hahah
When you did the mouth did you secure it at all or just weave the yarn in the front and out the back and snip it?
I don't personally secure mine but if you want to you absolutely can!
I'm doing this pattern right now! I almost finish butt I don't have the thing that u are using for the eyes😭,, What would you recommend I do to replace it?
Id like to make this as a keychain..perhaps use a 3mm just to make it a bit smaller?
Yeah you can definitely go down on the hook size! Because there are so few stitches to work with, the shapes might be slightly different... But I think it would be fine! I haven't tried it though. Another good option is going with DK weight yarn!
Amazing video!! I was wondering if this pattern is for personal use only?
Yes it is! The character belongs to Disney so they can copyright claim if you sell the item!
@@FalseBubbles thank you!!
I'm stuck with the head :C I do everything as on the video and I get sth like a hat not a head :p I count all the stitches but still it always looks as if I am in the middle of the work... don't know what to do. it looks so flat
if i wanted to make it a little bit bigger i would just have to make a few more increase rows right?
Yeah! Or just use a bigger yarn and hook!
Question, what would be the calculations for a bigger yoda? I've tried increasing the size but it has not come out great for me.
Hey there - Unfortunately I can't give you an easy and straight forward answer because it isn't as simple as adding a few stitches/rows, the pattern would have to be completely redesigned. I would recommend using an increased hook and yarn weight if you want to use this pattern but have the piece end up as slightly bigger.
Hopefully this helps a bit!
Just did one with velvet chunky and came out fairly big, I did add 2 extra stitches in MC
how big is this yoda
0:15 - Supplies needed
0:46 - Head
3:59 - Body
7:55 - Scarf
9:41 - Arms
11:41 - Ears
13:19 - Assembly
Thank you so much!!!! I never thought of adding this but this is soooo helpful!!!
@@FalseBubbles☺️💜 I’m making a few of these (for my kids and nephew) so it definitely helps to be able to jump to whatever section I need. Thank you for this video! Super cute, quick & easy. It came in handy as a last minute gift for my nephew’s birthday this weekend! 😁
It's so fast I can't tell what your doing those first few stitches. It's great when I can follow the first few stitches slowly.
Hi matthew! Sorry about that! Unfortunately in this video I am not teaching the basic stitches of crochet. The first step is creating a magic circle, and if you need help with this, I do have a tutorial for the magic circle on my channel!
@@FalseBubbles thanks i will make sure and take a look at those! Your Baby Yoda looks the cutest, by far!
@@matthewcarrellful thanks so so much. That truly means a lot to me!
If you have the slo motion recording option on your phone and another device like a computer that you can watch the video on, try recording the fast pieces with the slow motion video feature on your phone so you can see better
Thank you for this tutorial! I cannot seem to understand how to do the arms! Can anyone refer to a tutorial or otherwise? I am a beginner but I did make this. It is my second project and his arms are missing 😆.
Oh is it the colour change part???
@@FalseBubbles yes! I cant figure out how to make that shape either LOL. Even though the body is similar.
@@colleenjones8874 I have another video that shows the colour changing a bit better here: ruclips.net/video/uFRagkm68LI/видео.html
It will start forming the correct shape as long as you aren't increasing or decreasing!
Thank you for the reply! I will check out the other video!
What size eyes do you use?
6mm!
Thank you. Yeah I saw. Well heard. I watched this video a couple of times. Thank you. :)

Bonjour Avez vous le patron s'il vous plaît ? Merci beaucoup par avance
the pattern is in the description! ❤
@@FalseBubbles Merci j'avais pas vu ☺️
I didn't understand how to do this, maybe its because im a beginner but she went straight into it. She didn't show step by step how to do stitches etc. Maybe im just not good at it but, this wasn't very helpful :(
Hey sorry you didn't find this helpful. This isn't really a tutorial on how to crochet the stitches more just like an additional visual and audio guide to the written pattern. If there is something in particular that you are struggling with I would love to know so I can make a tutorial for those things!
I like it but I would like you to ad more details on what to do and please do not speed it up😊
His name is GROGU, no baby Yoda.
Its to fast, im sorry im like a super beginner.
So sorry about that!!! You may need to practice these stitches before attempting this one: Single Crochet, Increase, Invisible Decrease, and Magic Circle. Unfortunately I don't go into the stitch tutorial here, but I have other videos for them! You'll be whipping these out in no time. Just give yourself time to practice!
